I have dealt with this company before and all went well. I previously purchased a set of Euro tails with yellow LEDS (on their way out, now) and following that a pair of the newer style mirrors, still folding.
Here's a video of the lights posted by DOME.

I did some further research, if this is any like the CLS tailights, you just need to identify the fog wires and cross them at the harness. Dont quote me though. Either that or get a new rear SAM module that takes the new LED lights coding.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I had my car hooked up to the developer software, and we were able to resolve 1/2 the coding issue. As it turns out, it is not ONLY the fog lights which need to be programmed off, but the brake lights also need to be programmed off. I didn't realize it before, but the brake lights run at a reduced voltage and act as running lights behind the bottom LED light strip. We were able to correct this issue and switch these completely off without losing the proper brake lights, however we still haven't found the correct menu to turn off the fog lights.
Another member told me that with the original lights, the fog lights run at a reduced voltage and act as part of the running lights, which is why they are on in the 2012 setup. We just need to figure out how to turn these off. I will be emailing some of those coders in Germany and see if they can send me screenshots of where this particular setting is located in the Developer software.

Dome///AMG,
Could you find out where the coding is that turns off the fog lamps from who ever did it for you? I looked through all the available menus that I felt comfortable changing. There is a fair amount of stuff that is simply numeric that it is impossible to translate though.

Thanks, I was trying to find it just could not. I found were to turn the fogs off in the fog function but not the running lamp low output. I could even turn off the lights we wanted to stay on and just have the low output fogs. Pretty every combination but the one we wanted.

hi Dome,
any updates on the coding?
i retrofitted these lamps a couple of weeks back to my '09 C63, and the official dealer here in singapore had no clue where to start - they weren't aware of what these differences were, and i had to explain to them at least 3 times.
In fact were clueless that i had even swapped my original tail lamps out until the next day- and were wondering why my lighting pattern was different to that of the '12s!
in other words, any help would be much appreciated!

Have you guys tried the same path as the W221 tail light retrofit of the lights by purchasing a rear SAM from a 2012 and placing it in a 2012 coding it in that vehicle then placing it in your vehicle?

Just wanted to give a long awaited update on this thread. I am happy to report whipplem104 was able to program my lights and give me 100% functionality. They now work as intended, so anyone in the Pacific NW who is interested in doing this mod, contact whipplem104 and he can get it done for you!
As for the rest of you guys interested in doing this, you really need to find a shop that has the Star Diagnosis Developer software for Mercedes. As far as I know, dealers aren't allowed to have the developer software so your best bet is to call around your local independant Mercedes shops and see if they carry the software. Good luck!

Hmmm...very tempting...
Although, i can't justify spending that much money on a part that I will never see or feel 95% of the time I'm driving the car.

Speaking of parts, I heard that you might be interested in spicing up your car a little more?
