Guys, im in London, UK - i would *love* to install the new tail lights. The garage where I get my work done are very good generally but they told me the same thing about the coding issue etc. How can I get these lights installed?? What should I do? Any help appreciated

nrgy installed these lights him self and there were no warnings when he did it. Just the lights were not lit the way he wanted. You have to have star in developer mode to change the coding though.

Hi Man, would you mind to share how did you get it works? I have to say that was a great job, I have DAS developer, and I use it from time to time, some hints would be good enough, thanks in advance! :-)

Guys I just retrofitted these 2012 tail lights onto my 2009 C63, they are plug and play so you DON'T get any fault lights or messages. As said, the only thing you need to do is reprogram the 4 rear fog lights to be off. I still didn't reprogram them but with all honesty they don't look bad with the fogs on, trust me, you will never regret it even if you don't end up programming the fogs!!

Does anyone know how to get STAR into developer mode? I've inquired at a few workshops and they dont understand what I'm talking about, else can anyone advise a good MB workshop in Australia that can do this?

Thanks, I was trying to find it just could not. I found were to turn the fogs off in the fog function but not the running lamp low output. I could even turn off the lights we wanted to stay on and just have the low output fogs. Pretty every combination but the one we wanted.

Forgive me if I missed this detail, but if we (with US C63s) wait for the US version of these taillights to become available at the dealer (I'm assuming very soon), will we need to worry about these coding issues, since we don't run rear fogs?

Guys, I am in Virginia and just got a set of the NA 2012 LED taillightsfrom a local dealer. Part #s: 204-820-28-64 and 204-820-41-64.
I will pick up tomorrow and install and see if the results are any different than that described above.
