I'm confused as well, when you refer to the multimedia interface. That to me is the multimedia Interface plus (MIP) a $300 option that allows you to run Pandora, both wired or bluetooth streaming, text/email with a Blackberry and video on some model MB. Is this what your referring to? Because, I have that device and it works like a charm. Except for text/email with my iPhone and video.

Not to sound like a a$$...but do you know how to work it? When I first got my 09 I thought the same thing but I just didn't know how to work the AUX. Go to the dealership to see if you are using it correctly. The book doesn't really tell you how to use the AUX that well. Just a thought.

There is a seperate Ipod interface option for the 08-09 C63. It is not the mp3 mini pin connector, but is like the ipod connector (on your PC USB/Ipod cable) that connects to the bottom of your IPOD. As noted above you need to go to the Audio AUX selection on the Nav Screen to select it. After you select AUX the Ipod Menu will not show up on the Nav Screen but is controlled by the steering wheels buttons with the display on the center screen behind the steering wheel. Not ideal but it does work once you get used to it. The 2010+ C63 Multi media is different. The Ipod menu does show up on the Nav screen. There's an alternative to the 08-09 Ipod and that is not to use the Ipod connection but to get a PCMCIA card. http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-PCMCIA...4404176&sr=1-3 and a SDHC card. Download your Ipod music from your music files to the the SDHC card. Use the card with the PCMCIA adaptor and the NAV screen will display title, artist, etc and allow you to use "i drive" knob to control you music. It takes time but it's like getting another Ipod for $50
I know I have an 09. When I first got the car I couldn't figure it out. I went to the book and still could get it to show up on the center screen. I had an 06 C55 which was very close. I just couldn't figure it out. Had to go to the dealer. Don't know what was wrong with me.....

I've been calling MBZ USA and local dealers to see if there is a software upgrade for the pre 2010 car to get IPOD on the nav screen, but no such luck.
