What is the Best Tune for c63

There are tune only trapping 120+ so 115-116 is 5 mph less that's a big difference? Which headers are you getting?
I have to disagree with this one. Dont go for cheap tunes? I can't justify paying more than 1k for a MAIL IN flash, if you have the money then go for it. Not everyone in the US drives SL or SLS. We tend to go for affortable tunes with decent power. No matter how much you pay for it? are you kidding me? I'm sure MHP tunes are fast and it has been proven. The 1/4 list has one trapping 117mph with just a tune. My car full weight on a hot day did 115-116mph with just a "cheap tune". I paid $750 for my tune. I saved about $1200 from the MHP. That money can go to my other mods such as DRs and headers. I also get a free reflash for life. You dont need to have it tuned for higher octane, unless you have the money to run around with race gas all day. The other option would be to have two maps tuned and switch it with a laptop. One for race and want for pump. Not sure how you would do it with the C motor but I have done it for my other cars. Once my headers and DRs come in. I'll post up my "cheap tune" result

It's a big difference. Is that with full weight stock wheels on pump? I only found one on the 1/4 list with 117mph, unless I missed it. Who's trapping 120+ with just a tune? I went with the AP headers and catless mid pipes. Seems like a good deal.

haha this guy. I'm glad you have money to pay for your high end tunes. I did 12.31 at 115mph full weight stock wheels on pump with street tires. I did pay 75k for my car LOL I paid wayyy less than that. I rather save my money on something else than a mail in tune. Proper tune? most mail in tunes are conservative, I'm sure most will be happy. I don't have the money like you. It doesnt mean I opt for cheap choices. I like to have options, go for affortable routes.

You obviously dont know anything about drag racing. ET can be improved with proper track prep and tires combo. I mainly went for the trap speed. With that trap speed on a good day I can get it down to low 12s and even sneak in a high 11s if I start removing things in the car to save weight. Must be nice to own an SL and spend hundreds on a mail in tune.

Not on pump gas though, but its a pump gas tune.
I paid $1200 for my tune. Jeremy is doing a 20% off right now so figure $960.

I don't know it all, I just know I won't pay 2k+ for a mail flash. Congrats to those that running 11s with just a tune. I hope to join you soon. I didnt say I was happy I said that's what I got so far. Don't get booty hurt I'm not bashing MHP haha I'm just telling the OP you have other options. How old are you? my SL "murders" your car? LOL I'm not going to ruin this thread for the OP over your "tune". If you want to continue just PM me. If you're the type that like to compare. My EVO will own you in EVERY race and it only cost 1/4 of your SL...

Nice! I'm going to probably head to MIR when I get my DRs soon. The temp is going up soon, so I'm going to try make it out before it gets super hot. I think going to Friday's T n T would be a good idea. I can't wait for Fall, it's too long..

The topic was what is the best tune for the C63 not the 63 engine.
That should add some gas to this...

Look, I had a Eurocharged tune. I was very happy with it but I felt
with my mods my car should have been faster. I inquired about a
custom tune for months but it never happened. So, I went with a
tune that had the most proven track results, MHP, and soon after
making the switch I ran a personal best of 11.415 @ 123+ in +1100 DA.
Those that have been following my progress know I am not full of sh*t
and I am definately not brand loyal. I've always been up front with my
mods and results, to help others make informed decisions.
Whatever decision you make, just do your research and choose who
you think is the best fit for you and your plans.

do lots of research on what you want in the long run . what i did was first was decide how long , roughly , i might keep the car . i then tried to figure out what kind of power i wanted to make me happy . if you get to that point , there will always be something out there to increase power for you but you will be happy if you dont get it . i researched my stuff for almost 6 months to decide which way i wanted to go . i eventually pulled the trigger on MHP cuz of what i was looking for . i have the tune , headers and mid pipes and i can tell you from experience , this setup is proven to create a monster from your C63
there are definately a lot of tunes out there that are cheaper than MHP , but like i said , do your research and read the numbers and stats for what you want out of yours . don't go off this thread for your choice in tunes . i hate to see people throwing money out the window .

The topic is about tuning. the SL63 and the C63 have the same engine platforms. They both reach the same horsepower peaks and have the same remaps. and for your information. I owned three c63's in the past. getting the coupe pretty soon.
