Hey guys have read tons of threads where someone asks what is the best tune to get..
Was hoping that we could gather up all the known gains from each diff company's tune as to see what the best bang for your buck is, and it would all be in one thread instead of searching through hundreds of threads trying to gather up information...
Would be great if some of the sponsors can post there numbers as well as they would have as good of idea as anyone..
Hoping to get some good insight out of this for my future tune
Thanks guys

That's a very open ended question and one that would never work gains are different depending on allot of things.. There are some good tunes if your going tune only. If you plan on doing more that's were I think it gets trickey.. Miss and match don't seem to work so pick one company and stick with it
Yes you are correct for now i was just planning on getting a tune until my warranty runs out in about a year from now, then i was planning to get headers exhaust, power pulley, etc., the whole deal
But right now just looking at a stand alone tune and wanted to get some insight onto what gains are expected from diff companies i guess
Also is that good thinking on my part to wait until the warranty runs out before adding headers etc.

There are a few good ones, Andy from Mhp is running a good special on his tune as is everyone else.. I've driven a few different tuned c63's I like the Mhp cause of the quicker harder shifts.. A few hp either way most won't notice unless at the track but most will notice the shifts asap.. Hope that helps a bit with something good luck.. You have a great platform to build off of!

If you are looking for pure performance, then MHP seem to be the company to go to. Most track data of the quickest/fastest C63s show they are running MHP headers + MHP tune + weight reduction mods. In terms of tune-only, OE-Tuning seems to be very strong as well in terms of performance.Originally Posted by j bro

If you're looking for best bang for the buck, then Kleemann and Eurocharged both offer a potent tune for a decent price.

You cant go wrong with either OE tuning or MHP. If cost is a factor you will do well with OE tuning. Jeremy is running 20% off so about $950 is the price if he is still running it.
OE tuning as far as tune only has done me well. See my sig for results. MHP as Dodger stated is a proven powerhouse beyond the tune only config. It also held the record for tune only for a long time.
Like Dodger and MB stated if your going beyond a tune only config then I would go with MHP. IF you wanna ride out your warranty OE tuning is the best bet in my opinion. Price+performance you cant go wrong.
PS Didnt we do this already? lol

I always wanted to start a thread just like the one that you just did but there have been many variables. At first the MHP were the absolute winners but then MBH also achieved a 110whp gains on a Mustang Dyno with similar mods, then a OE tunning with Gintani headers also achieve the same top power so it is now harder to tell what combo is best. my .2c

Not going to disagree, but dyno is a dyno.. And results posted by an owner/company/employee doesn't mean much to me.. I think we need more independent people testing these cars with mods.. The only problem that will always arise is there are way to many variables to ever really have a comparision. Find mods that your comfortable with can afford and like the results others have gotten.. There will always be something better/faster/quicker..Originally Posted by C63newdude

i have to agree with Dodger on this . i think dyno #s are great but do nothing for you in real world applications . i had my MHP tune for headers for a while before my headers got here . i ran my buddies M5 with just my tune only and i could pull on him by a couple of cars , but after the headers were installed , it was clear that this car had gained plenty more power as you can see in the video below . i had to let off at the first car cuz i don't race through traffic , but as you can see i pulled away significantly
wish i had video from the first race to show what a difference it made
i actually hit the gas and let off a bit because i thought he didn't go...but then got back on it when i realized he was going...and then it was all over

........and if my little video doesn't give you any insite into what MHP has to offer , find the video of Dodger vs superleggera

i also agree with sticking to 1 company and not mix and matching stuff .

Well since I'm considering it, how about the powerchip/evosport tune? The sale they are having is making me think their tune is a no brainer.
I'm not a big track guy so I'm just looking for increased performance for the occasional fun run or 1/4 mile day.

I havent seen track results from a Powerchip tune yet. Screw what the dyno says, how does it perform on the track.Originally Posted by BK63amg

If I was in the market for a tune I would look at track results for all the tunes and decide how much money I want to spend and make my choice from those.

Big track guy small track guy, most of us bought this car to go fast.. Why would you go for an unproven tune to save a couple bucks. Idk about you but if I wasn't looking for speed I would've bought an m3Originally Posted by BK63amg

Well I think the car is pretty fast in stock form (I came from a G35 coupe) so I'm still getting acclimated to the power. Also, living in NYC doesn't afford me many opportunities to experience what the car can really do...Originally Posted by dodger63

With that said, I was considering the powerchip tune because of the minimal (cost) risk involved vs advertised benefits. I've also read some good things about it and the dyno charts seem comparable to other tunes (I already know how most feel about the track vs dyno thing..)
For $500 and a 14-day money back guarantee, it seems like I can't lose....when my warranty is up and I'm ready to go for the gusto, I can always call MHP and not feel bad about the money I spent on the PowerChip tune.

Does anyone do custom dyno tune for our car or is it just mail in flash? I wouldn't mind paying a little more if it was a custom tune.
thanks for the insight guys, i think i want to head the mhp route at some point and agree that it would make sense to stick with one company, the Mhp S2 package seems like a good deal when you compare what all is included vs. just buying the v3 cdt alone, but ive heard problems with the thermostat and gaskets before with them has anyone encountered any problems with them..
but $500 for a tune sounds like a good deal as well, what are the claimed gains from that powerchip tune??!!

Ahhh you broke the seal!! No sponsor solicitation!!

That is a very big plus though for sure. I wouldn't send my ECU in the mail. I waited for OE to come to NY.

?Never knew Eurocharged was in Houston,
Looked around and seems comparable gains from Eurocharged tune and Powerchip.
I would be interested if there was a similar deal on the table as Powerchips special
