2012 C63 Order Information
#451
Hi - after 6 months (!) of wait (due to designo-seats) my C63 in magnetite black is ready on october 13th. I will take the factory pickup with the tour before. I had the tour twice in the past but the last one is 8 yrs back.
I didn´t take the performance package but as i live in germany i choose the higer speed-limit of 280 km/h. It should be fun....
My question is: What YOU do to shorten the long waiting
Greetings

Hey, that's my car! Thanks for posting that, it was interesting for sure. I'm really excited about getting that Edition 1, I only wish it had the limited slip diff on it. My dealer is looking into ordering the part for me and installing it at the dealership.

I'm not sure what you can actually do to shorten the wait because the system for dealers to place orders seems so crazy!
On Saturday I went with a friend to a free AMG Performace Tour event where we got to do four laps of an autocross course. We had the CLS63, SL63, E63, and 2011 C63 to choose from and you can do your 4 laps in whatever you want. I ended up doing the E63 first, then two laps in the C63, and finished with the SL63. I was surprised at how big the SL felt but then MB cars are not really suited for that kind of tight course.

Some of you have already received your new cars or are about to but MB USA finally updated their configurator. Better late than never.

Nice...though I think the colors are not really close to reality. I'm told mine has arrived in Halifax. I will make sure to post some pics late next week.

Call from dealer yesterday, my car was born and awaiting to ship..
Saw a few 2012 c coupes/ sedan @ dealer. Magnetite black is a little too blue for me. I like the new interior and the mb Tex is not that bad. I would like that in ml 350 if you have kids.
Does iPhone not work with wire plugin? It charges but stated not recognized..

Congrats again on receiving yours!

Will it work for you? I've tried several times ( just curious to see how much I over paid for my C63 Coupe package) and as soon as I select the C 63 Coupe in the car configure option and try to go to the next page to select my options it always says 'sorry the configure options aren't available for this C class please try again later"

Halifax NS? If so you're a very lucky Canuck...My car wont hit Calgary until mid November at the earliest (prime Canadian driving weather lol). I've got to read back through these threads to see how one member was able to track his car once it arrived in country because I don't want my car doing a "tour" through different dealerships before I get it. If I'm remembering correctly he had the VIN # of his car and was able to track it and caught his dealership saying that his delivery was delayed for shipping reasons , when in fact they were delaying it to show at another dealership first. I'm sure by the time mine arrives they'll have enough floating around that this wont even be an issue, but I would still like to track it.... I hate waiting
Congrats again on receiving yours!

Okay, so my sedan is almost broken in and ready to be driven the way she should be. I am pretty much sick and tired of getting passed on the autobahn by every damn Fiat and Opel I see and can't do anything about it. LOL..
So I have a question hopefully one of you can answer. Since this is my first C63 I am wondering if I can switch the sport modes from C to S, to S+, to M while I am driving the car or does the car have to be in park to switch it over so I do not cause transmission problems. Might be a dumb question, but for what I payed for this beast I am not taking my chances to I get an answer.. : ) Thanks

At least you should still get some driving time in before we get covered in snow ( unless of course you're in Southern B.C , in which case the snow isn't really a concern)
Congrats on getting the car!
Which package did you choose ?

I've not owned a MB before but on my BMW all other cars I know of it can be done on the fly, it is just ECU changes based on set mappings. Hitting the button would just change from one mapping to another and adjust shift points and remove artificial delays introduced for 'comfort'.
