Black is not a color, it's an all consuming obsession. Irridium silver has always been my favorite. Pewter was also very nice but is been discontinued.

Thinking of swapping out the lighting package and carbon fiber trip. That trim looks nice but 2.5k is allot of money.
Anyone have build updates yet? I still haven't heard from mine yet.

Also, fwiw, my dealer told me that c63s take a big hit on resale without the lighting package, while carbon fiber has little to no impact on resale.

Latest update is production mid 08 for delivery end of sep. Still not firm though. Placed order on June 15. Black magnetite AMG pack + carbon and a few more as the options are bundled here in Canada.

I was told my delivery will be August 29th.. An I also deleted the carbon fiber trim package for 2,500.. I mean really.. all they trim with CF is the damn door sill.. Anyways, I am going with the black walnut, but I ordered a high grade CF vinyl and will have that placed on top of the BW for around $ 40.. Then if I get sick of the CF, I still have the BW underneath.. Problem solved..

I spoke to the sales manager I ordered from and he said the issue is the US as a region oversold the P31 development package so MB froze most of the orders. He has a call out to a dealer liason to see what he can do since he has a live, paying customer.
He's suposed to give me a call back this afternoon and let me know if he's managed to get a build date. If some of the things I've heard about builds being pushed out as far as January is true I'll go with another option like an M3 or a used Maserati Gran Turismo S.

Hearing people talk about August delivery dates, I wonder if those are all non P31 cars?

I just thought of something.. Unless someone else on this forum is getting a 2012 C63 delivered before August 28, then I may be the first person in the entire world to post pictures of a privately owned 2012 C63. I know we all saw internet pictures of them, but none from the forum members.. Not bragging, I just think that is f'in sick that I possibly could be the first one since there is so many of us in our wolf pack.

No, I am in the Military stationed in Germany right now, so I am doing a European delivery. They said I should have it by August 28th. But who knows. That is what they are telling me, but I bet it won't be until Sept 1 or 2.. Your not that far off from me though Flash..

No I didn't get the development pack because since I am already here in Germany, I am taking it to Carlsson and they are going to add the limited slip and do everything else electonically to add the horespowe and take away the governor. It works out to be less money and all so will increasy my horsepower into the 500's

Jycke, you will never believe this ****.. I just got my invoice from MB and it says delivery Sept 29th.. I called my dealer and flipped out because I was promised August 29- Sept 2.. Not the 29th.. He said he was calling to call the factory tomorrow and work it out, but sometimes the invoice says that, but it doesn't mean I still won't get it by Sept 2nd.. UGH !!! 
And yes it will void the warranty from MB, but Carlsson offers a warrant as well to cover this.. I do not know exactly the terms of the warranty.
