2011 C63 vs 2012 C63
This past weekend, and as I always do, I spent considerable time at my local Borders and Barnes & Noble bookstores.
I read all car enthusiast magazines and thoroughly reviewed all articles concerning the 2012 C63.
I may be in the minority here, but I can tell you that I loathe the new interior of the '12 C63. I hate the new dashboard, that looks just like the M3's dashboard with the integrated screen. I hate the new steering wheel, which appears larger in diameter and thinner than the '11 version. I also do not like the chrome ring around the new steering wheel.
Lastly, I can't stand the feminine headlights, and frankly, I'm not a fan (yet) of the new tranny...
So, my point, I have no buyers remorse whatsoever in purchasing an '11 (last month) over the new '12 model. I knew of the approx 2000 changes to the new '12, yet, the changes did not convince me to purchase the new '12.
I prefer proven reliability (known factor) over new technology any day. I tend to purchase the last model year of a particular model over the new first year model... In the end, I'll look at the new/updated/proven C63 in four years...
I love(d) the '11 over the '12, considerably. There you have it, Mates.
Cheers,
B
I was given a new model c class as a replacement car while mine was getting serviced. Firstly, the steering wheel was terrible, it was so SMOOTH (no grip). And it looks funny. The 3D dash... not a huge fan. The current model dash looks MUCH better in my opinion.
Other than that, I think the new c class is much better than the old. The material used needed the upgrade. The center console (and the screen - WOW, what an improvement) is just much much better. It just felt like a more complete car. And the lights, I think it looks better than before - although less aggressive, it does look more... smooth. Clean. Same goes with the rear lights.
Hopefully the steering wheel wont feel the same in the AMG...
Time will tell whether these improvments will make a better car. History shows that the suspension/chassis changes that were implemented on the facelifted W203 C55 resulted signficantly improved handling compared to the pre-facelifted W203 C32.

It's plug&play but if u want to have Illuminated buttons u need the steering column cover of the W212

I plan this mod for next month, then I can tell u more about it

Here is a pic:
Here in Aussie, the performance pack is a $15,000 option... thought about it, and to be honest a 0.1 second improvement for $15,000 is... well... not an option? lol
Would love the rims that comes with it though!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I am sure it is one of those things that when you see it in person you will either chnage your minds or reaffirm your impression...I have seen it in pics, at the F1 races and so far, I am happy that I didn't wait for the 2012.
How much?
Where are you buy?
Thank you
