Holy crap, that is a thing of beauty!!
Congrats on getting the car to where you want it to be Jim.
Props to Weistec and ACGSD for doing a fantastic job, this thing is throwing down some scary numbers.

Now throw on some M/T's in the rear and lets see what this does on the track!

They are indeed gorgeous wheels, personally I would stick with the HRE R40-R43 series, Comp series, or some CCW's.

What are the dates and itinerary for Vegas? Sounds like a good time.

Comp series makes sense to consider, if they'll be custom-widths and offsets (vs. normal C63 fitment ranges) due to the widebody kit. Big fan of the C93, but the C97 would look great as well.

No problem on the wheels. We just need to decide between HRE, DPE or ADV1. I'll e-mail you some ideas.
go with DPE

Would that xpipe fit MHP headers then connect to OEM resonators?

Looks like that X pipe is made to work specifically with MBH headers.
Im sure there is a way to make it work with MHP Headers, as long as the piping diameter is the same and all the necessary steps are taken to make it fit.

Yea, I thought it was different, but it does look like the MBH xpipe. I guess I might be able to make a custom version of it fit.

We offer 2 types of x-pipes. One for OEM systems and one for our mid-section. Will it work on other systems? I guess anything is possible and I'm sure it could be done. But it might take some work on the end users end.

The car is sitting in a bodyshop getting a widebody. Don't know schedule. Then it has to go to paint. HREs are on order. Don't know schedule. Brakes are on order. Don't know schedule. Interior has been redone. Last piece from MACarbon is supposed to be delivered today but haven't confirmed. Lots of assembly work will need to be done with a fair amount of electronics required before SEMA. Then it comes back for substantial ICE system that has to be custom made with lots of aluminum and CF work. Don't know schedule.

The car has to be on a transport in 3 weeks. I have my doubts. If it makes it, ok. If not, I've solved the tax implications and it can get finished whenever. After SEMA and CES, the car goes into storage for 3 years and then it leaves. If it misses SEMA, it leaves when its done.

In all of this, 3 outside vendors have performed flawlessly on their custom work.

1. Weistec. Couldn't be happier. I say this is custom work because it is. If you think you reach this level of power with off the shelf, bolt in on in your garage solutions, you are wrong. Weistec offers solutions like that. This wasn't one of those. Again, couldn't be happier.

2. Jims Upholstery in San Diego. Completely custom leather interior in a couple of days. Not weeks, not months, DAYS.

3. HRE Getting ready to order my 4th set of wheels from them within 4 months. They bobbled the first set schedule by a week but did a diving catch and saved it. Flawless on the next 2 sets.

ACG has done pretty well. This particular job has its drawbacks mostly because of outside vendors. I'm dumbfounded at the work ethic of this industry. Not in a good way. Its also true that I had ACG doing 3 of my cars at the same time and they still have 2 of them in their shop right now getting BIG things done and as soon as one pops out this week I will be taking 2 more in between October 10th and November 1st.

ACG could use a project manager or Peter should spend a weekend with me, Microsfot Excel and Microsoft Project. He's also too nice by far to people. Including me.

While I seemed to be royally pissed at them early, I like them fine. They need to be less nice and a bit sharper on hitting punch lists on VERY large projects. I forget half of what has to be done to these cars and I'm the one spec'ing them and paying the bills.

ACG will get their top of the line Mustang Dyno which should solve most of their issues as they relate to what I was concerned about and give them more time to do project management instead of spending days driving back and forth across the county to the dyno to check their work.

For those that can go and want to see their dyno, its the uber cool one that Mustang will be displaying at their booth in SEMA. After SEMA, it gets trucked to ACG.

That's the owner's report. TTYL, I have work to do.

Jim

Looking forward to the final result, and cannot imagine missing a primary purpose: SEMA

Questions if you don’t mind:

Why would the car go into storage for 3 years?

Where exactly does "Leave" put the car?

I sense some continued frustration, and given the events of the past can understand, but I think everyone has best intensions. I want to see a finished car, and would like to see it used, vs. Storage How was your trip to China?
