This car is legendary in my eyes. One of the best looking cars I've seen. I really like the big brakes too.

I can't wait to see Peter's pictures.

Too bad Keith is on the East Coast. It would be great to have C63_Guy, JSP, and Dads vehicles together for a magazine shoot.

I can't wait either. Don't know what happened to him. He said he was downloading them at 7:30. He's not answering the phone.

Maybe the hookers got him?

Good job Peter. I know it's hard to take interior pics of the backs of the seats, the back seat area, the headliner, etc with the car up on your dyno. When the car gets back to San Diego we'll have to do a Phase I photoshops before we start taking the car apart again.

Peter and I met with MACarbon yesterday and they will be delivering custom parts that were commissioned for the 996TT next week. After that I'll get them started on custom work for this car.

Expect extensive bodywork changes and more performance surprises in the months ahead. But we'll stop part way through Phase II for the CES show.

Simply amazing, inside and out. This car represents the best that a C63 can be IMHO.

maybe that's the phase 2 stuff he was talking about? I prefer how Josh's wb ties into the rear bumper than this.

This sounds very exciting. I'm looking forward to seeing the new bodywork.

And just to say again, the car looks amazing.

Both look out of this world!
I'm leaning towards Josh's wide body kit also, the reason being is that the rear flares look identical to the ones in the front, which looks 100% OEM.

I'm not saying JSP's doesn't look OEM but the rear flares look rounded off. Similar to the ones on the W216 CL and W221 S class.
His flares remind me alot of the DOMANIG widebody C63.

Both cars look incredible nonetheless.

both widebodies look good. I'd take either one, but like the one that flows in the bumper and matches the front fenders.

The idea on the rear flares is to take the oem look and go a bit further. The result being a double look. It works.

Side skirts and some further reducing work might be in Phase II.

There will be other more drastic changes that will also look like oem on roids. It's not easy to do it right. Do it wrong and you lose the original and get a cartoon.

I wasn't sure about the rims myself in the beginning and actually have a second set on order. But I was nervous for nothing. The rims are amazing and everyone that stops to look at the car takes pictures of the wheels. And it's usually the rear with smaller brakes but more lip.

HRE has a hit on their hands.

I definitely agree that the rear flares don't look quite right for me compared to the front flares. The rear bumper line should match up to the front bumper line. Nevertheless, it still looks great overall.

Also, an observation.... I was planning on a matte wrap on the car after the next stage of bodywork is done. I'm probably not now. Matte finishes have been the design rage at SEMA the past two years. It's over now. Dead. Last years bell bottoms. If I wrap the car it will be in clear to protect the paint.
