Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series Coupe Leaked
...... at this point it's all speculative anyways. It's just one article about the car. Who knows, could be the baddest thing ever to roll the streets and tracks. We'll see when it hit's the shores in a year or so .....

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Mercedes is smart enough to learn from that car and price this one more competitively seeing as apparently the C63 will not be limited and they will be looking to maximize sales. I'm sure they realize the actual competition for the C63 black series is a 911 or 911S and will price accordingly with the massive competition the all new 991 model will bring around the same release date.
There is such a huge market for aftermarket on all the non-BS C63 cars, they can cash in huge on a car like the C63 BS if it can stay well under 100k.
100K base plus gasguzzler plus destination charge plus options and you'll be in the 120's in no time. Nothing new though, Porsche is master of that game

One feature I like about the 209 CLK's. Looks good when all 4 windows are down, plus with our seats you have real access to the storage shelf. I guess the C63 BS will have folding seats for cars spec'd with rear seats, which wont have big side bolsters anymore.I have to stop looking at the pictures ....... otherwise I really sound like a hater
If you want a 2 seater why not get something that is designed for 2 seats and not 4? An SL, SLS, Cayman, Vette, Viper, Ferrari, Lambo, R8, Lotus, Z4M, Z3M, etc?
If you are going to accept the compromise of the additional weight and size required to accommodation rear seats, it seems logical you would want some kinda of benefit from that compromise other than a rear storage shelf; something most pure 2 seaters have anyways.
The only car I can sort of understand this logic for is in a 911 since you are at least getting the benefit of rear weight distribution and rear engine dynamics out of cars like the GT3 and GT2. However I still feel the rear seats should be available even in the GT series Porsche cars since that is what a "911" is.
Obviously I will keep the rear seats if I end up ordering a C63 BS, but I would never look down on someone would went for the delete. I would just expect them to be rocking a half-cage and bucket seats like I am in my 911.

I'm 6'1 and even if my CLK would have rear seats, who, besides little children would want to sit behind me? I had a couple of 993's and 996's ..... no one ever sat in the rear seats. Don't blame them either. Unless they measure 50 inches in height, it's pure torture
. The roll bar I had in my last Porsche didn't have a cross bar for the harness. My CLK has one, so even if there were rear seats, you couldn't get there anyway. It's a 4th car, so the rear seat delete was never an issue for me.
