How much?
I need to sell my C63 to upsize to something more suitable for my growing family. Here are the specs. How much do you think I could sell it for?
2009 C63 AMG
32,000 miles
White on tan leather interior
No accidents or damage
Every option but the P31 package
What do you think?

around 41k private or around 37 by trading in to the dealer like propane suggested, give or take 1-2k. id aim at selling privately as it'll certainly net you more than a trade in, it'll take some "hustle" if thats how you'd want to call it but yeah, it'll definitely get you more for the car, id say try that first and see how it goes.
Going to the dealer is the "easy" way and you can always do that if you cant sell it privately, did you try going to: http://www.kbb.com/ ?

The absence of trunk money in 2011 will kick up our cars value a bit as new C63's wont be able to be purchased for anything under 65K. That will help.
I would trade it in for the tax benifit. Yes, you will get less money but you save on taxes on your next purchase and you dont have to deal with people and phone calls and the BS of selling your car privately. You will lose about 3K but you will save about 3K in taxes.

MD is the same..
Annoying little story side note..
When I moved to MD from VA in 2004ish, I brought my 2001 (bought in 2000) Jetta with me, went to go register it. Had to pay the 1% difference in sales tax (at the time, va was 5%, MD was 6%) on the cars brand new retail value, not the a prorated value... my car has 120k miles on it, and plenty of problems, was not worht the scrap metal it was made of. Talk about being ripped off..

Shopped it around as a trade in at several dealerships and closed a deal yesterday for 44k! Could not believe it and jumped on it right away- all the other dealerships where offering 40-42k. Traded it in on a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland V8 4x4. Obviously lacks the thrill of the C63 but love it so far!

I dunno, I would not say it is completely thrill'less (yes I made that word up). It is just a different kind of thrill...
A few modifications, and a trip to some nice (legal) off road locations and you can have a blast.

Meaning they could say 40K for your trade but you pay 4K less for the Jeep.. ect. You gotta make sure you get the best deal on both ends.
Congrats on the new purchase though, Im sure you got a good deal. Jeep has great year end deals!

How much did you pay for the Jeep is the question though. Dealers can move those numbers around and me things seems like a better deal.
