Make a dimishment in value claim against her insurance. Even with a door repaint (do to it being hit) it might show up on a carfax and then it your problem to deal with. Even the best body shops can't completely match factory paint.

Man, you were lucky. The ex of a friend of mine was texting while driving and she invaded the oncoming traffic lane and got slammed by an eighteen wheeler, head-on. She did not survive.
I'm against the use of cellphones while driving, it's absurd and it's the cause of more deaths.

Got the C back Thursday. Body shop did a great job. Bill came to $4,600. Decided to keep the slightly damaged left front fender and hang it in the garage.
Replacement fender was $800. Amazing how light it is -- I'd guess under a pound.
