How many runs do you get on a set of Drag Radials?

Assuming a decent burn out to get the girls in the stands excited, approx how many runs do you think you get off of a new set of DR's?
And what is this heat treatment thing that is offered? Is it BS?

Thinking about taking my car to the strip. If I do so, I want to do it right.
Tires are flippin expensive here in Canada so I want to know what I am getting into.

Also, any suggestions as to where to get some 18' replicas for the rear to mount them on? I see them around, but they never seem to have the right offset.

Thanks for the help guys. If I do this, I will definitely post pics so you can have a laugh.

There are two other tires that I have always been recommending : BF goodrich T/A I and II and the Nittos 555r. I think the two that I just mention can do 95% of the job with much longer life.

I have had the BF Goodrich T/A II on a BMW and I cut an overall of 6 tenths on my ETs

Get some Nitto 555R's DR's and u will have them for daily driving and dragracing.
With 3-4 drag race events I usually got around 5K miles out of them and each event min 10runs at 10sec a burnout.

There are many things to consider on a d/r then just longevity, we all have our personal preference..
