I’ve posted up a lot of photos in various threads over the past couple of years but never bothered to start one myself. So here is my first, it should make it easier for me to post any further updates if they occur.

These photos were taken today on my way home from picking the car up after the new KW V3 Coilovers were installed. I’ve been meaning to get them for some time but always found an excuse to be too busy to get it done. Well now I’ve finally pulled my finger out.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the positive comments. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for a long time.

It feels very different compared to stock, much more like a BMW.

Quote: Looks amazing.. Loving your perfect stance! I want ur wheels.. Haha!
Initially it was lower but it rubbed a little bit. The stance as it is now is perfect, it allows 4 in the car without any rubbing.

Quote: Great stance! BTW what wheels are those? HRE?
Yes, HRE Comp 93

The ride is what you make it. I’ve always believed the stock suspension on the C63 is too soft, so I’ve had it firmed up a bit. You can have it softer than stock if you wish. I find it now to be more compliant in the corners than it was before.

Very nice.
Any knocking with the coilovers? I have H&R coilovers and am experiencing intermittent knocking from the front. I was told it could be the sway bar links rubbing but the dealer removed them and drove the car and Knocking was still there.

I took the car for a good long test over some very rough roads today to see how it would handle it and there wasn’t any evidence of knocking, rattles or odd noises. All sounded and felt nice and tight.

If the sway bar links you are talking about are the rods pictured, these are my stock rods that connect the sway bar to the coilovers which were replaced with an aftermarket set during the coilover installation process.

The part numbers on them are 204 320 17 89 and 204 320 18 89.

Those sway bar links are replaced by a set of heavy duty links provided in the KW V3 kit.

I am not aware of any aftermarket links available for purchase other than those in the KW V3 kit.

The H&R kit does not include the additional replacement links.

RM-6302 is right, they are replaced with the aftermarket set that comes as part of the KW V3 kit.

I’ll take a photo of the replacement rods and post it up in the next couple of days.

KW V3 Replacement Sway Bar Links
See the Attached pic for the KW V3 links.

I do not think that they are a direct replacement for the stock parts, but fitted to the KW strut mounting point.

I hope ACGsandiego.com tolerates my using their photo.

I’m with you, lowering it has really improved its looks, I can’t believe I took so long to do it.

Just wondering if ur rear suspention is the lowest height?
cuz I also got KW V3 a few weeks ago.. and when the guy set them up on my car..
he said.. front suspention has some screw to hold height..
but rear suspention has no screw.. so even though I make a lil higher than the lowest height.. It would come lower again once I hit bump..

is that true? -_-?
