Considering a 2009 C63... noob question...

Hi folks, I am considering a 2009 C63 with 36000km in Toronto. It is a certified preowned. May I ask for your insight on how much life should I expect from the remaining brake pads with normal driving? (pics attached below) I am thinking if I should ask to include new pads in the deal. There should be certain requirements on rotors and pads in order to meet their "Star Certified" standards. But I am unsure of the details.

The OEM rotors cost an arm and a leg but not the pads, right? How much life should one expect from the OEM rotors with normal driving (no track time) based on your experience please?

In Europe, only the front pads costed me an arm and a leg

)only the fronts were over 560$. But I think they look good on the pics. I wouldnt know about the rotors.

There is plenty of life left in the pads.
As far as rotor life goes, that all depends on your driving.

If you buy rotors from the dealer it costs alot, that's why most guy have gone with the less pricey Evosport rotors which are alot better then the OEM 1 piece.

Pads and rotors usually need to be replaced together at the rotor are soft and new pad will not seat to them properly. MBZ rotors generally cannot be turned to get into spec or resurface them.

i got 40k miles outta mine before i had to replace the rotors. your looking at least 2-3k for brakes. pads,sensors,backing plates,rotors are what you need to replace everything.

4. Of all the cars I've purchased in the past, the one and only car I regret buying is the C63S. Its a good looking car inside out, well spec, and those numbers do look good on paper. However in my opinion the car can't handle the power. I have never been in an AMG GT but what I've heard, the car handles a lot more superior than the C. I think this time mercedes has gone too far trying to man up this car as a result making the suspension stiffer than ever. The ride always remind me of civic with Tein coil overs from high school. I've the dealer updated the suspension software and I swapped the Dunlop for Michelin AS3+, they helped a little but not enough to change the native characteristic of this car. If I had test drove the car before buying, the harsh ride would definitely be the deal breaker.
