Widebody C63
#28
Awwww, you guys is the bestest.
Sure do, to the tune of 57000 miles in three years... And really nothing's gone wrong in that time that I can't account to user stupidity. Yes, killing the transmission and buying garbage replacement clutches that failed in 5000 miles requiring a second rebuild is user stupidity.
And HHughes, thanks, man! I've got probably 15000 miles in my Tecnocraft bucket and don't miss the factory seat one bit now that I have the full pad set. Yeah, I was running the headrest and buttpad only, but I scorched the heck out of my lower back dropping into it on a hot summer day. Soooo faily-fail. I just need to make some slider eliminators now. (Howard and Keith: Hit me up off list, we figured out all the tricks to get rid of the SRS warning lights and get the steering wheel adjuster functional again.)
And to the people asking about price for the widebody, I got a pretty good deal, but there was a lot of back and forth and waiting involved. Worked with a great shop, but getting them during a slow time post SEMA was key, and even then it was a few months. I took some pictures and photoshopped it exactly how I wanted it to look and asked them not to get creative. I know for a fact that someone's working on a carbon overlay kit that mimics my car (43 mm extension per side in the rear), but we'll have to wait and see how that comes out... I think it'll be hot, but there have been challengers for the crown before, lol. The easy answer is that if you want it done in steel to call Evosport. They have the whole chain dialed in now that they've got a great paint guy in-house.
Anyway, thanks again for all the love, guys. I think I'll be around a little more often now that I'm starting the next round of mods on her. Step 1: Blue calipers. I'm starting small this time, but I can't wait to warp your minds again. I love me some DTM cars. And, yes, that is a thinly veiled reference to some of the coming upgrades. (Reggie, if you blab what I told you, I'll get very sad. And a little stabby. But mostly sad. )

That's great news Josh, it's great to see you back on the forum again since you have helped me a lot since 3 years ago when I got my car!
Great to see you post again and I am excited to see you work on your round 2 of mods!
Cheers

Thanks! That's what I loved about this place, was the newness of what we were doing with this chassis and support we gave each other, but the forum seemed to get kind of *****y and catty for a while (and I contributed to that, I'll admit) and I had better things to do with my time. Seems to be getting back to the good flavor now. That makes me happy.

That is true to be honest the forum won't be as good as when it used to be, but we will make the best out of it right?
Trust me your pictures always gave me a boner.....except for the one where that tranny in Vegas had her heels on your car!

Both of your cars are awesome.. I was hoping to see Jeffield's car when I was in Richmond, but I did see a bunch of stock 63.. Vancouver is just ridiculously filled with balla cars..actually 'N'ew driver ballers!

Haha, when were you in Richmond? should have gave me a shout!
Where are you from or here locally?
Richmond / Vancouver is a place where you look at an exotic car and go "meh" like a civic, there are way too many around!
Also I m a new driver

Here's a thread I started while back showing some other WB C63s.
Josh's car is still the best. It's the only one that looks OEM IMO.
