To me this price is ridiculous! (I was offered the same car in march for $80000) At $117K its almost the price of a new black series! What are your thoughts??
It's just a fully loaded C63 with special paint, special plaque, at a lower pricepoint to help move the last pre-facelift cars quicker. MB does this to most models prior to a facelift and prior to redesign. My gf bought a B200 Turbo "Avantgarde", which was loaded with AMG wheels and all the options with a $4000 savings compared to spec'ing out all the options individually.

[/QUOTEI realize this is an old thread but I was catching up on some reading in The Star last night and there is a guy with a brand new 2011 Affalterbach Edition with 38 km on the odometer. He runs a business as a Volvo Service Specialist just outside Hamilton ON.
He was asking $97000 which I assume is US$$$s (or close to $130000 CDN) a year ago and from some text/phone contact he still may have it (wonder why). There is an error in the ad which says it has 17000 miles on it but he claims it was never plated or driven.
I am not clear on the numbers produced because one article suggests only 30 were imported into Canada whereas other articles suggest there were only 30 made world wide. A lot of money no matter how you slice it.
Out of interest this is an article I found on line:
http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/14/m...on-for-canada/
and a screen shot of the ad.

It's probably one of those typical buyers and sellers who thinks that he can make a killing on a name like "special edition affalterbach edition".
probably bought it for just that, to resale at a profit thinking the car will go up in value seeing that its 1/100...

There was a fully optioned 2012 with 12000 km with Nappa two tone seats and 507 wheels for sale in Vancouver that included a comprehensive extended warranty. He asked and got $59000 CDN. Sort of puts this one in perspective.
Lots of money for some badges, top stitched seats and leather trimmed floor mats over a Development Package car.
