My Christmas Present arrives: C63 Coupe DW PP
Finally after 4 months of waiting!
Full spec:
Diamond White
Designo Red/Black
PP
LSD
Black 19"
I'm blown away. Even better in the flesh than I expected from the pics. The interior red is perfect - not too garish, and looks seriously bespoke. Popping, snarling, crackling engine with power everywhere. Lovely, fluid steering. Very firm ride ( and seats!) but superb body control ( ie in really demanding conditions the wheels stay on the ground, unlike Bimmers on runflats!). These are my immediate impressions. Oh, and very possibly the cheapest nastiest plastic rubbish key I have ever seen, complete with flyweight, fake metal "Mercedes star" keyring

Can you elaborate on how you feel about the black/red? Think it's too much at all, or does it look classy in person? My biggest concern with the black/red is that in person it will look too racerboy-ish and not like a benz.

Well I have never owned a white car before and was a bit worried DW would look a bit bland. In the flesh I am really surprised how it brings out the lines of the coupe - strangely enough maybe more so in semi shade than full sun. Also with the coupe you get this amazing contrast happening with the roof, back side windows and rear windscreen. On the Aussie model at least these are all tinted very very dark. The back windscreen looks almost black a lot of the time. So with DW from rear you have the black diffuser below and blackened rear windscreen above. It looks cool as...
On the Designo red/black leather interior I can understand some feeling this could be too adventurous for a Merc. But seriously it's a gorgeous understated red and as you can see from the pics really brings out the detail design of the front AND rear seats. It also works a treat with the standard aluminium trim - which saves a few thousand bucks on carbon fiber.
The seats do end up looking a bit like they may have come out of something seriously fast and Italian, but that's not a look I have too many problems with LOL....

Very nice. white shows all the edges and curves. If I did not have a bunch of white cars prior, would definitely get one again. I have a red/black interior as well and it is just beautiful.

Beautiful car. I also struggle with the white or black colour decision. I had a white M3 and a white G37S coupe. Since I have had a black M3 and a black C63. I might go back to white for the next car... something sexy (and EASY TO MAINTAIN) about that colour.

It is an amazing interior and what I get complimented on the most by far in my car (I have the same interior colour). It is sporty and classy at the same time.

What a beautiful car, I love the white, it accentuates the black body parts perfectly. The black lip spoiler looks great, maybe black out the side mirrors and it would be perfecto.

One of the problems with the red/black interior leather is that it is really, really hard to photograph accurately. Almost every pic I've ever seen of it has the reds way too strong. Basically if you record the blacks accurately the red saturation goes through the roof. I've tried hard to balance it on my quick snaps, but even on a calibrated monitor it still doesn't do the car justice.

LOL so looking at your pic proves there can be Light after the Dark Side after all? I love your car BTW. Maybe 2015 for me? Assuming C63s haven't morphed into some putrid hybrid 1.5 litre turbo diesel bilge by then

VW R36 (for now)
Car looks great.
I think the interior looks tops as well, I like the red but in the sedan and wagon the appear to have the centre seat red which throws the balance off, in the coupe though it looks perfectly balanced.
