Coupe LSD Aftermarket

Does Quaife make a separate LSD option for the C63 Coupe? Or does the sedan version work on the coupe?

How difficult is the installation? Labor hours? Approx. install cost?

We bill $550 for the quaife Install (takes roughly 5-6 hours), and another $350 for the install kit which includes new side seals, bearings, sealant and fluid.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
Question

Sounds like that's a fair bit cheaper than the factory option LSD.....what's the difference in efficiency/operation between the two?
Cheers, Pickles.

The Quaife Limited Slip Differential is an Automatic gear-operated Torque Biasing differential. Sets of floating helical gear pinions mesh to provide the normal speed differential action. The Center spring provides pre-load. In the event of a wheel slip, torque bias is generated by the axial and radial thrusts of the pinions in the pockets. The resultant friction force enables the driving road wheel and sun gear to transmit a greater proportion of the torque. This effect is progressive, but at no stage does the differential lock solid. Hence the inherent safety of the Quaife Automatic Torque Biasing Differential.

The stock diff is 30-40% locking as the quaife is roughly 70-80%

Can you recommend any experienced/qualified installers in Wisconsin please?

The Quaife diff changes the entire dynamics of road course driving compared to the stock open differential. The car will always oversteer if driven near the limits of your tires but the LSD makes it a manageable situation allowing you to stay on the gas and lower lap times. I got mine from James and could not be happier.
