6000k hid headlamps drop in bulbs, eyelids ( all new led ) and the fog lights ( new canbus ballast ) no codes and the car looks sick. I did add a 3000k yellow high beam bulbs for bad weather driving.

No Sir, just an H-7 bulb. I got and extra set of elbows from a salvage yard and drilled them out with a dremel I fitted the H-7 right thru it. I put a rubber gasket- hat supplied with the Kit and that's about it. I just wanna turn off the cornering feature.

Looks great. I did a 6000k conversion on my wife's C300 and they look sick. I have been thinking about doing a H7 conversion on my C63 fog lights but I am afraid I am going to melt the clear cover.
Honestly, do you notice any difference between the already awesome 4300k stock head lamps and the 6000k? As far is the high beam, I think you did the correct thing because when you used the High beam flashing the lights the HID can't lit fast enough.
How long did it took you to remove that bumper?

Me too, not just for better lighting and a better color match to OE HID headlights but because HID replacement bulb are only 35 watts IIRC. So, less of a heat problem, not more.

Nice DIY - I am also running this setup on my car and it looks great. I love driving with my DRLs and fogs on at dusk with no lo-beams...looks sinister!

It's pretty easy not a hard job. I took the front bumper off so I could tuk the ballasts in nice and out of the way. You will need to get adapters for your fog bulbs or drill out the OEM holder. I got an extra OEM holder ( elbow ) and drilled it out. The bumper comes off with 10.mm bolts and it's about 8 of them

Doing the full frontal HID/LED conversion is one of the best mods I've done yet - it adds a very clean, high-end look and my road visitbilty with lo beams plus fogs is far better than stock.

No worries on melting the cover from heat - I'm running 6000K in my fogs with no issues whatsoever. I just wish we could disable the cornering light feature so as not to wear out th ballast from the constant on/off. As a remedy, I just drive with my fog lights on at all times.

Useful thread. I'm in the middle of doing something similar:
HIDs: 6,000K D1S (pending)
High beams: Sylvania SilverStar Ultra H7 halogens (~4,300K). Like the OP, I don't use these very often and don't mind having a slightly yellower option when needed. I tried some 6,000K H7 LEDs but took them out. They were white and matched everything else much better but they threw a lot less light than the Sylvanias or even the stockers.
Front turns: 3156 Amber LED from here: http://store.ijdmtoy.com/3357-3457-S...ee-3156-2k.htm. They work well. Plug and play. No error code or hyperflash.
Eyebrows: 6,000K LED
Front side markers: Cleared lens. Amber LEDs.
Fogs: To be determined.
I do have one question for those of you who have replaced the HIDs. I got the cover/cap off, but how do you remove the bulb itself? It seems like it's held in with some thin wire clamp. I can't get this to open up or loosen.

I left my stock ones in as I was told they will get brighter (Higher K) with age. I am going to review this this summer.

You can try Philips Diamond Vision H7 in the headlights. I think they are 6000K (edit they are 5000K). That is what I am using and the light output is great on Hi-Beam.

I have 5000K from AZN Optics.
Front side markers: Cleared lens. Amber LEDs.
I have smoked lenses with silver covered bulbs that glow an interesting orange color. I was told AZN Optics 5000K LEDS will also work.
Fogs: To be determined.
Again, Philips Diamond Vision H7 ~ 6000K (edit they are 5000K)

The HID is held in by two wire clamps. You need to push them toward the front of the car at the bottom of the HID and then squeeze them together. Once they are unhooked you will be able to swing them up and out of the way and will be able to pull the HID out of the socket.

I have not checked a 2009 but think the fog bulbs should be H7. If you jack the front of the car up you can take the front shield off and reach right in to the fog lights and they are relatively easy to replace.
