If you are asking about "Sunshades" to go across the windscreen whilst the car is parked, then I have a better idea, & a cheaper & more effective solution, than the "shades" that go across the top of the dash & fit behind the windscreen.
if you fit any type of shade inside the car, behind the windscreen, the damage is really done, as the heat has already entered the car.
My "solution" is to fit a screen over the outside of the windscreen. I bought some "UV reflective" rubber sheet, cut it to the size of the windscreen (with little flaps on each side which will hold it tight by shutting the front doors).
Therefore you have a rubber sheet covering the whole of the outside of the windscreen, which completely protects the dashboard etc & keeps the heat out of the car....VERY useful in the land of Aus, where we have MASSIVE heat.
Cheers, Pickles.

Mate, it's very easy to do.....any rubber company will be able to supply suitable material off a roll....you then just cut it to size, & you've got your w/screen cover....I always make sure also, that there is enough of the sheet at the base for the w/screen wipers to fit OVER it...makes it a bit more secure.

Not to discount the excellent idea, but what happens to the front door seal over time with a piece of windscreen rubber flap closed into the door seal?

It's just a thin anti U.V. rubber sheet you can buy anywhere in rolls....ya just cut it to shape with a scissors....ya don't even notice it when ya close the doors.

I'm going to try it. Slight problem in Ohio, and Nevada where I'm moving is wind, and a lot of it. I assume if I cut properly and stretch properly it won't be affected by wind.

I've got a couple of sheets only cut roughly to shape that I've used on several different cars over the years.
Without it, after a few hours in the sun, your steering wheel & top of dash will be really HOT.....not with this cover....they'll be UV protected & simply warm.
