Resonator-Back Exhaust
I'm looking to squeeze out a few more ponies and was considering a resonator-back exhaust to bolt on to my MBH mid pipes. Question is, which one should I go with and how much additional power should I reasonably expect? Really want to keep costs down if possible.

I just order this Agency Power kit for my set-up. Not cheap though.

The only resonator back exhuast that I know of is the Akrapovic slip on, I don't know if it will make any additional power though.
You can probably go with Eisenman or a valvetronic exhuast like Agency Power but those are catbacks.

i'm going to be trying an exhaust that will be released soon... so i have no opinion on the item but it's definitely competitively priced... they haven't officially released a price yet but i was told $1300...
unfortunately, it will replace the resonator with straight pipe... but i figure it's just another possible option for you... i'll give more feedback once i test it out though

I have the cat-back version with centre race x-pipe (mid silencer removed)
It sounds really amazing!

Does anyone know exactly what that resonator design is on our cars? Is it an X or H pipe? Or just a larger bump in exhaust diameter?
I want to cut it off and put an X pipe with some different mufflers to cut down the rasp.

Yep, this one is 2,400 + S/H, though I would recommend the race X pipe which makes it a full cat-back at 3166 + S/H

There is a small H pipe built inside the resonator.

Only this one - without driving the car:

Better ones with flyby's will come next few days ...
It's a very deep, powerful sound. The exhaust screams > 4.000 rpm
