C63.... "Factory" Rubber Mats?
Don't know how keen some of you guys are, but I like to keep the interior of my cars as clean, & as original, as possible.....and I like to achieve this, with a minimum amount of work.
So, I like to keep the factory mats nice, particularly in a car like the C63...and I've always used rubber mats in my previous cars.....keeps the original factory carpets/mats in mint condition, & rubber mats are easy to clean...I mean, ya just take 'em out of the car, flick off the dust, & put 'em back in...no beating or "cleaning", & more importantly, no scuffing or any other damage, to your original equipment, & expensive, factory items.
So, when we ordered our C63, and before taking delivery, I asked the Dealer if he could supply a set of "Factory" C Class rubber mats.....which he did....and as they're the original M/B item.....they fit perfectly...and my original mats & carpet will always remain brand new!
So, If your C63's a keeper, & you want to keep your floor/mats etc as brand new, get yourself a set of the correct M/B rubber mats!
Of course, any rubber mats will do the job....and I've used "any" rubber mats before, but in something like the C63, I reckon the factory items are the go!
Cheers, Pickles.

i have the factory rubber mats as well, it's a shame it doesn't say AMG on them haha. If you don't have OEM mats, WeatherTech is a good alternative, since buying the OEM ones after the fact will be very pricey.

+1 on the WeatherTechs if you can't/didn't get the OEMs as an add on. Although I would recommend the WT Floor Liner DigitalFit vice the All Weather rubber mat version; especially during the winter season or you're in an area with a lot of rain. I think they provide better protection with the elevated side walls. Only weak spot is the very low point in the area of the accelerator.

I can't stand rubber mats. Wet shoes + rubber sounds worse than nails on a chalkboard to me. Plus they make the interior look like crap.
I get my mats steam cleaned a few times a year, and they look as good as new. When they wear out after a few years, I buy new ones. They're not expensive.

2nd that on the all season rubber mats. I have weather tech mats on all my cars and they are a breeze to clean, every now and then I would take the mats out and shake out the debris and about twice a year wash the mats with car soap. Those Weather Techs look brand new every after years of use.

I've been using rubber mats for years, you never have to worry about a thing with them. Mud, dirt, snow, salt all covered.

Of course, there are times when you DON'T want them there.....gonna show the car or whatever.....in which case you simply remove them, in the knowledge that your factory AMG mats have been protected, & will be "As New".

And to be perfectly honest, the only thing that looks nastier than dirty carpeted floor mats is....dirty rubber mats. Seriously, my winter car has rubber mats and they look WAY more dirty after just one weekend of rainy weather compared to the OEM carpet mats in my C63.

I see your point but what I don't see is the logic behind that any more. What's the point in storing a perfectly good set of OEM mats when you could be using them? It's like buying a pair of pants you never wear. The only beneficiary is the next owner when it comes time to sell.

I don't store them....I simply place the rubber mats over the top...where they fit perfectly.....it's simply a way of protecting the original mats & carpet in "as new" condition.
For sure, you can simply remove your dirty, scuffed mats, & clean them....but they'll eventually become worn/scuffed or whatever.....by covering them with rubber mats, you're making the cleaning easier, & your original mats/carpets will always be "New".

I purchased a set of weather tech for my wife's C300 and it looks great, I recommend weathertech model digital fit(not the all weather). They have different colors and the fit is perfect. Any cheapy set of rubber mats are going to cost you like half of weather tech and they are probably made in China, spend a few extra bucks and get the weather tech made in the USA.

Had a look at the Weathertech web site......Looks like a TOP quality product.....don't think you can get 'em in Aus though, & of course they'd have to be R.H.D. versions.....but certainly looks like good gear to me.

Looks like they have an international distributor in NZ though. They might even have RHD version since they also have a distributor in the UK.
