New Forgestar's
Can't wait for spring to hit...
It's been such a tease - one day 28, the next 55...
Nonetheless, they came out great and I can't wait to ride on that sticky rubber.
Cheers!
Oh, CF5 Flat Gunmetal, 19" 8.5 Front 10" Rear

Thanks!
For those of you who have aftermarket wheels, what did you do when it came to considering the horrible loss of a rim to damage etc...
Only reason I ask is because as soon as the full set got in from the factory, I ordered an extra front rim and rear rim just in case something happens - I REFUSE to go back to those stock rims (just horrible, LOL). With a 4-8 week lead time, didn't want to take the risk of being left high and dry.
Anyone else do this - did it come in handy?

LOL, What were your stock rims?
I bought a complete spare set of wheels for my last car.
I would be tempted to get spares of my Forgestars too.
Never know when a wheel can get bent or need to be sent out for repainting.
If you sold your stock wheels then the need for spares is even greater.

Those CF5s look great, can't wait for pics of them mounted on your car. What offsets did you get and what width tires did you go with? Congrats on the new Forgestars.

Nice. do you have a pic of the rear wheel. I would like to see how the concave looks .

+1 on ofset info.
I know they push you into lower ofsets for a more agressive look.
Interested in feedback as I prefer the more tucked in look of the factory offsets.

Really, thats a bummer. You would think they would have the same concave as the F14s
I guess that is why they only have pics of the front wheel on the C63 for their blog.
That might be a deal breaker for me on the CF5s

Thats what I thought.... Niche cot some wheels that are looking pretty good these days too. Not sure if they make them for our cars but might be worth looking into.

Niche wheels are cut by MHT, as are ADV1s. However ADV1 invested in their own molding for the deep concave 10.5 applications as on Mercedes and have exclusivity on these. You won't be able to get the same wheels from Niche. That's just a FYI

Front offset 45, rear offset 54...
Picture is of the rear rim, and it is def more concave than the fronts...anything above 10" gets the "deep concave" rim..I have to agree that it isn't super deep, but then again, kind of hard to do when you have such a high offset.
Running 245/35 up front and 275/30 rear - Michelin pilot super sports
Oh, and no, didn't sell factory rims...kept them and am running my snows on them..For those of you who haven't seen the new factory rims, they are the split 5 spoke, but they are weak as heck from a design standpoint.
Hope this answers everyone's questions!

Are the Niche's price pretty cheap. I know back in the day they were not expensive at all. The Concave Euro monoblocks, the forged Spritiva/concave and forged Roma/concave wheels all look pretty good.

I'm a fan of the 5 spoke rims, so to me, they look awesome. I wonder what the weight difference is between the cf5 and f14 if there are any at all. Seems like the f14 would be less.

Sounds like a W211 fitment.
Any reason you didn't go:
F: 19x9 37mm 255-35-19
Exact factory size & offset
R: 19x10 52mm 295-30-19
1/2" increased size but factory offset to allow 295 Super Sport tire (which is not made in 285)
FYI - In those wheel widths this is the offset range Forgestar offers:Exact factory size & offset
R: 19x10 52mm 295-30-19
1/2" increased size but factory offset to allow 295 Super Sport tire (which is not made in 285)
19x9.0 offsets from +16 to +44
Non-Concave design, for Front Caliper clearance
19x10 offsets from +16 to +56
Concave design, that might impact caliper clearance
Would you mind test fitting your Rear Wheel on the front and letting me know if it clears the calipers and if so by how much?Non-Concave design, for Front Caliper clearance
19x10 offsets from +16 to +56
Concave design, that might impact caliper clearance
If that works, I'm thinking of a 9.5 Concave up front and an 11 Concave Rear.

As to getting the rear wheel on the front, I'm happy to do it but I won't be putting these things on for a while still. I wish I could say two weeks, but the second I make the switch snow will come.
