OEM carbon fiber mirrors

Hey guys,
I've wanted the CF mirrors on my car since the Affalterbach Edition in Canada was released. Since I have the newest style mirrors on my car, I'm able to replace just the painted portion of the mirror and not the entire mirror itself (I checked the parts catalog).

I know some aftermarket ones are made, but I want a perfect match for my OEM spoiler from the P31 pkg. The US parts catalog doesn't list a CF mirror for our cars since it was never sold in the US. And I couldn't find an online Canadian source for parts.

The new launch edition 2012 CLS63 has CF mirrors, but it doesn't look like the same outer shell is used, damn.

So my question is two fold:
Has anyone sourced OEM CF mirrors from Canada or Germany?
Secondly, any Canadians on here have access to the MB Canada parts catalog?
If so, could you find out if the CF covers are available and order me a pair
I'm willing to pay extra to get these parts

Any help? Thanks in advance!

I can check with my dealerships parts division and get a quote for you guys. I don't think there will be any issues as it is an option on Canadian C63s from factory, so I don't see why they wouldn't have it as an available part. They are asking $750 for them when you order the car, but I'll see if I can talk down the price as well. I'll try and get something for you guys by the end of the week if I get a chance to go to the dealership to check out my C63 getting prepped for delivery.

I bought my 2012 C63 sedan off the showroom floor with the CF mirrors as that's how the dealer ordered it ($750 option)...I just went outside to take a look it looks like you would have to replace the upper 3/4s of the housing...I can post photos later.
I will send a message to the Parts Dept re OEM cost/availabilty.
Cheers

Well you think that is bad, I got a quote here in Australia and it was over $6,000 for the pair and $19,000 for both wing mirrors and the internal dash. If it was an option when you first order the car it was $6000 for wing mirrors and internal dash.

Kinda wish I got it now lol...I'm scared to ask about the CF interior now...if they mark it up by the same multiplier as the covers, the interior is worth a cool $14,000...now I wish I got the AMG PP lol...

I did in a way. The quote for interior and mirrors was $19,814.80 Australian and I have to add labour on top of that

Thanks for the info guys, but I think the high prices may be for the entire mirror.
And/or the parts dept doesn't know what they're doing.
The mirror parts are available individually here in the US in all OEM colors, but no CF for the C63, for less than $100 each.

If a rock hits your CF mirror and a new replacement is needed, it must be available and no way an insurance company is going to pay thousands of dollars for a mirror cover.

Anyone with access to Canadian MB parts catalog?

The OEM CF interior is about $4000 for parts MSRP in the US.

USA mirror parts.
Part 3 is what we're after in CF
http://www.genuinemercedesparts.com/...agramCallOut=3

Scroll down and you'll see the price for CLS CF.
Wow, I must have misread before, they do want $2-3k each WTF, that's retarded!!
http://www.genuinemercedesparts.com/...w=11&maxRow=10

Anyone with these covers want to sell them to the highest bidder
You can buy color matched ones for less than $200 total.

The CLS CF covers are available for around $200 each from the US parts catalog, so C63 ones can't be that much more.

Not sure what is going on, but I clearly told the guy that I just ordered a C63 without the CF mirrors and I was wondering how much it would cost to just get the CF pieces. My theory is that they don't want non-AMG cars to be purchasing these mirror covers and are asking ridiculously high prices for them. I'm sure if there was an insurance claim they would probably disclose the real price. I'll see if I can pry it from them tomorrow after work.
