Something very weird with my car

Today we had a snow storm and it took me about 4 hours to get home. The traction control was engaging from time to time. Right before I got home, I had to exist in some deep snow and suddenly I got prompted, that nothing was operating. The LCD displayed: ESP, run flat, ABS, BAR... something and many other thing ..., were not functioning. I did panic a bit. I parked on the side, turned the car off, restarted and the system was back to normal. Did anyone have anything like this happen to their car?

George

Drop down to the dealer and ask Bruce to have Vic check out any stored error codes. I'm sure the conditions were recorded by the car.

BTW, are you purchasing the extended warantee now that you will soon expire the 4 year.

Yes. I had the exact experience in the same conditions last winter. The ABS and traction system was going crazy for about an hour during the snow driving. I shut the car off, restarted, then everything was fine. Hasnt happened again.

I already got the extended warranty. It should kick in soon. I am going to keep this car because my wife loves it. Thank you for the advise, I will talk to Bruce!

Thanks Van! I think we had the same experience. I just hope it does not occur again.

Good luck with the messy winter conditions.

I was out in the same storm yesterday and the car with Blizzak tires performed surprisingly well. Everyone was having huge issues and I didn't... tires make all the difference.

I suspect the "unusual" conditions confused the computer in the car. I would take it in though and have them check it just in case. I had my PDC go nuts after a storm once but it was fine the next morning and hasn't been an issue since.

My tires performed surprisingly well too. I have on it the WS 60 and they seem to stick on ice.
