How long for new p31 order?
Been trying to get a p31 coupe but dealer can't find one... Anyone know the approximate wait time for placing a custom order?
Thanks
Thanks

I'm not sure where you're located, but in Toronto, it was approximately 3 months from order date to delivery. I couldn't find a P31 coupe either, ended up settling for a non-P31 (eurocharged, here I come. =P)

I ordered mine early October and it arrived mid December so it was around 2.5 months.
Having said that, my dealer is telling a friend that there are now supply issues and a car ordered today will likely not arrive until sometime in June. Apparently part shortages or something. He was going to order the C63 coupe and decided he didn't want to wait until the end of June so ordered a 2012 911 for end of April delivery. As crazy as this sounds, he was disappointed to not get the C63 coupe (after hearing and driving in mine) even though he is getting the new 911 (not the S but the base 911).
The other option would be to get a non-P31 car and tune it if you want more power. If you are in Canada, my dealer has one on the showroom floor that is black with the two tone red/black interior. Always an option and you can likely get a better deal than when ordering from factory.

My loco dealership had an Edition 1 sitting in the showroom for about a month until last week. They are around if you are willing to look for them.

Ordered my C63 coupe with p31 two weeks ago. Was told build date would be late April, otherwise it could potentially be delivered sooner without the p31 package.
Longer wait than I'd like, but I'm confident it'll be worth it.

Ordered mine mid December, being built this week, scheduled to be here late February.
There are parts shortages - HID's in the mid-late 2011 builds for example. Rearview camera was the shortage in mine - if I wanted the rearview cam I would have to wait for the March build cycle to be delivered May/June.

I reckon it will definitely be worth the wait to have P31....I mean, yeah sure, ya can always get a tune for the extra power....but P31 is more than that....it means SLS crank, rods, pistons ....and in Aus, P31 also includes 19" rims, bigger brakes, & carbon fibre rear spoiler.

So in response to your question, I can't imagine having a sports car without an LSD.

Does anyone know if there are any shortages for P31 parts? I initially ordered my car with LSD and HID's, but then said what the hell and added the P31 about a month before my scheduled build date. Hopefully the addition of the P31 doesn't push my build date later.

Although I do agree that P31 is really only "needed" if you track the car, my experience is that when you don't order an option you like you eventually regret it. The extra power would be hard to discern on the street, the LSD likely far less relevant unless the law is completely ignored but if you like the red calipers or like the idea of having the extra power then, if I were the OP, I would get the P31 and wait a bit. A month of waiting is a lot better than years of regret. Now, if you really don't care about that stuff because the car will never see track time and you can live without the shiny red calipers then save the money and pass.

I was only referring to LSD. I think in the US you get LSD with p31?
In Australia our performance pack does not include LSD. I would recommend waiting and getting P31 just for the red Calipers alone

A local dealer here in Montreal, Quebec has one...

But I guess if your not in eastern Canada, you need to keep looking

Actually, as I've said before, I believe an L.S.D. should be standard on any car like the C63......The L.S.D. was certainly one of the first options I ticked.
