These cars were made for sustained high speed cruising, which unfortunately does not exist in the US

Another thing to note is that a supercharged car has an additional 100+HP heat load on the engine, from the 100+ extra HP consumed truning that supercharger at those RWHP levels.
That 685 RWHP engine is doing 900HP worth of work, with SC and drivetrain loss.
If I'm not mistaken, that looks like a twin screw blower to me. They are extremely efficient. I even think that eaton advertised a roots type twin screw with as little as 5% loss.
Centrifugal blowers are a whole other story. Stang is beautiful.

5% Loss sounds like marketing hype.
I might have been a bit high in my 100HP estimate.
These graphs show 75HP parasitic loss at 2bar for Twin Screw.





So I suppose when you figure that you pay 75HP parasitic to net 300HP at the crank it's not too bad.
Seems more like 20% loss though.
