09 fog light bulb change help.....

Hello everyone,
I'm fairly new to the board. I searched and searched now a DIY on how to access and Change the fog light bulbs. The other day I Tryed to access it from the wheel well access but there was no way that was going to work. I walked away 10 mins later with no success and rashed up arm. There has to be a easier, smarter, and faster way..... Please help

I jack the front of the car up and put stands under the front jack points. Take the front under-cover off and you can reach right in to the rear of the fog lights to remove the bulbs. It will be very hard to do with the car sitting flat on the ground/floor on its tires.

This is a common occurrence and someone that is intending to repair/replace should do a DIY with pics...

I know all members would appreciate this.

Can the entire fog light housing be removed the same way? Or do you have to take the front bumper completely off? Mine was cracked by a stone on the highway so I need to replace it.

I just changed a fog light bulb tonite. I took a few iphone shots to do a DIY but I realized as I was doing it that there has got to be a better way than how I did it.

Height and light are the two key ingredients here. I dropped one side of the tray under the front and also opened up the bottom of the piece that extends under the wheel well. But with out enough height on the car it was impossible to get my hand, a light and an eyeball in there. Fumbling around in there and scraping up my hand to boot. Done, but not smoothly.

I am able to access the back of the fog light through the under panel, but I couldn't just take out the light bulb. Does the entire fog light need to come off in order to change the light bulb?

The fog light does not need to come out to change the bulb. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to release the tabs and pull the holder and bulb out. Do not touch the glass on the new bulb with your bare fingers or it will leave oil on the bulb which will coke from the heat of the bulb and burn out the bulb. Press the new bulb into the socket and reinstall. I hope I have this correctly as it has been a while since I have done it.
