I'm giving away a 2012 NAV DVD. Yup. And some Sick Cars for Healthy Kids calendars.
Here's the deal. I've had some great experiences on this site and benefitted from members selflessness. Whether its the support I've received when I totalled my car, or Keith making those great t-shirts, or tons of free advice and easy transactions this site has rocked.
I have a 2012 North American Nav DVD for our cars and I have been toying lately with ideas for paying it forward as it were. Well, tonight the idea struck me. Here is what I am going to do.
I am sure we have all read the thread with regards to those great calendars - Sick Cars for Healthy Kids. The thread is here:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...lthy-kids.html
This raises money for one of the truly awesome charities in this area - The BC Childrens Hospital Fund. I am a realtor with two kids and I donate to this with every home I sell. This is a great great charity that helps sick kids and their families when they need it most. I have seen it first hand and it is amazing.
I am going to run a silent 'donation auction' by way of pm and I am going to give this DVD to whoever offers the largest donation to the BCCHF.
Personal Message me with the donation you are willing to make and if yours is the largest offered I will give you this disc. I do NOT want your money - you will be donating directly to the charity. If I tell you that you've won you can donate online, receive a tax write off, AND I will send you the disc. I believe this disc is worth in the neighbourhood of $250. It is not a copy - it is an MB original.
Where do the calendars come in? Easy. I just bought ten of them. I am giving the calendars away as well. The next 10 highest contribution offers will all receive a free calendar. Thats right. If you don't get the disc, make a darn good offer and you will get a free Sick Cars for Healthy Kids calendar. These calendars sell for $15 each. I'll take care of the postage. You can still make your original offered donation, or you can donate what a calendar would have cost you or you can be a cheap SOB and not donate at all - its up to you. Either way, if you are bid #2-11 I'll give you a calendar just for playing. Winner will be announced on Valentines Day - 2 weeks from the date of this posting.
I have two healthy, happy fun kids; a beautiful wife; a great house and a friggin awesome car. I'm a lucky guy. I want to say thank you to everyone on this site, and raise a couple of bucks too. If you play along, pls post that you've PM'd me so I am sure to see it and it'll keep this thread bumped up as well.
Good luck to all - now lets help some kids get healthy!!!

What the H E double hockey sticks?
Im giving away free stuff here and yet the response is underwhelming. I have a couple of generous offers but ........
is it because you dont want to be the one person who actually ends up out of pocket for one of the 11 prizes? Is the US economy THAT bad that we need to let kids be sick so that we can afford one more mod for our Mercedes?
We've got it good in our lives guys - please try to make someone else's just a little better.
Pack your bags........we're goin' on a guilt trip

Gone but remembered: Audi S3, C63 AMG, Currently: BMW X5 4.0d, Fiat 500 Arriving: C63 Black Series
neighbourhood of $250 is definitely not something I would call "free". I would call it a rip off.
free is thepiratebay. U go on there and you get real charity.
Everyone is so concerned with these little things that governments feeds us with (to blind us from the big picture), and making all you can to give away something to some kind of charity(that self profits and works almost purely for its own financial interest-you cant convince me otherwise), but go on to support governments that are responsible for all the poverty and problems in the world, and would most likely never, actually dedicate yourself to make a difference. Doing this wont help a thing. If everyone did this it wouldnt help a thing. You see, how can this help when we already have all the means to provide everyone with everything, but dont want to do it simply because of corruption. I dont see how anything is gonna change to any good, as long as we have politicians solving our problems. They dont know no more then any ordinary citizen how to solve any of our problems. The only thing that can save us is technology. And facts are that we have the technology, and every single mean to support all the life on earth on a luxurious level. So everyone could have everything in abundance today. Only if we wanted to and weren't so deluded. But I think it is too late anyways, our system is way to corrupt, corruption is what it was build on, so I guess you need to destroy the foundations in order to build on something good again. I wonder how stupid will we look when kids 100 years from now read and learn about times that we live in. I wonder what will they call our times, but Im sure we will go down as the most evil and ignorant generation ever.
