You'd be better off taking everything off and returning the car to stock and sell the RennTech stuff separately. A general rule of thumb I follow when it comes to any aftermarket mods, there is no resale value to them when they come with the car.

This. Just ask tuned Supra owners.

since it was a wide body, the fenders have likely been trimmed, making it impossible for him to return to stock. Good luck with the sale and hope the op doesn't get raped too badly.

Why do people always think that the more they spend on mods, the more they get when they sell the car. The case is actually the more mods you got, the lower price you get. You may get even lower then a bone stock 09 with same miles.

Mercedes C63 amg, Bmw X5,
With that wing, you would be looking south of 35k...but really I feel sorry for you...
It seems like you have genuinely hoped to get around 80k for the car, were sure you wont get less then 70k, came on here to confirm what you thought was a sure thing, and found out that you are looking at 55k if you are lucky. What a sad day for you. But you should know that, I wonder what kind of people go and buy a car like this, spend that much money on it thinking they wont lose much? Its usually the people that didn't have to work really hard for it or at least thats my guess.

Yo gotta remember that you spent a lot on the car but to each his own, the buyer may not like the look of it and you are even asking for 30k over what it should be asking for. If you care about you r resale value, you should leave it bone stock but if you mod it , dont ask for resale value.

Unfortunately mods are a very personal thing which is why it usually detracts from the price of the car. Even when I modded up my previous cars, I always stripped them back to stock for sale and was able to recoup some of the money by selling those pieces individually on forums, etc.
However, something as original as the widebody RennTech kit, you have a slight chance of getting a little more than a stock C63 would get. However, you'll probably have to work a deal with a high end luxury used car dealer that specializes in cars like yours. As much as we here wouldn't pay for your asking price, there is a chance a rich kid somewhere who is looking for a RennTech C63 and doesn't want to do the work themselves who will buy it for a premium. Personally, if I were buying a used car, I always look for an unmodded, low km vehicle.
What people usually perceive when a car is modded is that it has been driven hard and is probably not as well taken care of as an unmodded one. That's my personal outlook anyways, I haven't bought one used car yet as I just don't trust people lol...
P.S: 2 spoilers > 1 (according to my Chinese logic)

i think there is a nicer way of responding to this guy . just because it's not your style doesn't mean you have to be an *** . the car was made to be a complete Renntech package car . i wouldn't do it either but i also wouldn't buy a flat paint edition 1 . Hiro , not sure if you know or remember who he is , had a big touring wing on his car and it actually looked pretty damn good . he also lives in Japan . even with your little suggestions for him , there is no way he is getting any hits above 60

Totally concur. Mods have almost zero resale value and will actually reduce the pool of people open to buying your car. Unless you are very lucky to find a true enthusiast who understands what it all costs and may then give you a only small premium. Aero mods that are as polarising as that rear wing (meant for the Black Seies anyway i believe) will make the job of selling car even harder. Sincerely good luck with the sale buyt you need to seriously reset your price expectations...

It is a very nice looking car and Renn does make very good (but expensive parts). The unfortunate reality is the mods don't add much value (and sometimes detract value if done poorly) unless you find the right buyer that's going to do them anyway. I wish you the best with selling this car however consider your pricing compared to a CLK63BS.

thanks for all the interesting comments, thats why its a feeler, I went over the top but its my daily driver so who cares, guess I will have to drive to the ground......btw renntech did the work

the kit is fitted permanently, fenders are cut to allow for wider wheels....this does not part thought it might get some interest since renntech has only built 2 in this country so far, no worries still like driving it.
