So I've had the Coupe for 2 weeks now so I figured I'd get around to posting some pics. Glad the break in period is over, but I wish the spring/summer was here so I could actually "drive" the car. Pretty happy with the car overall.

Beautiful car.
If I may ask, what's parked next to you in the garage?
Corvette? Ferrari? Can't make out the lines...

I'm in Calgary. First winter in 3 years thats been really mild weather. Although I can't really complain since I've worked south of the border for the last 3 yrs and haven't had to deal with our winters too much.Originally Posted by 1st amg

Thanks Guys !
Hopefully when I get back home the weather will still be cooperating and I might get a chance to meet up with some other owners

Looks like you bought from Lone Star as well
When did you pick yours up? I think yours was in the delivery room while mine was being prepped!

Didn't pick it up until the 24th of Jan because I was away. It was at the dealers since sometime in Dec.Originally Posted by Illusive

Did they give you any swag when you got your car? I had hopes they'd include some winter ( rubber) floor mats to go with the car since the tire package still hasn't arrived for my car. But all they gave me was the "grand tour" and the keys to the car...I thought since they couldn't follow through on the ONLY reason I agreed to take delivery in Jan and not April that they'd try to butter me up just a little, but I guess not

Haha then it was your C63 I saw when mine was being prepped. I took delivery on the 25th and went to see mine being cleaned up on the 23rd.Originally Posted by CK17

I got the stock AMG velour floor mats along with a set of rubber mats with the hexagon pattern for free from my salesman. I did purchase the Weathertech Digital Fit floor mats for the front because of our messy winters. I was hoping to factory order mine and take delivery in the spring, but the AMG Winter Tire Package was too good to pass up. Luckily for us, it's been a very mild winter. FYI, they did receive a few sets of the wheels today, so you may be getting a call from your salesman soon!

Me and you have the same car but I'm in Edmonton. My cars going down to Calgary to get wrapped and some nifty rader jamming work done to her. Only differnece was mine was the 1st coupe on the western coast. So i was told. Took possenios all the way back in september. Nice ride

You've had it since Sept??!! They told me when I ordered in August that they wouldn't be building any of the P31 cars for Canada until later in October and thats why I had to wait. Thats pretty sweet that you were able to get yours early. What type of wrap are you doing ? I"m still up in the air with regards to wrapping it. It will help with the gravel they dump on our roads but since its Obsidian black I'm worried about there being a colour difference when the plastic gets faded. Edmonton is pretty close, if you know of any owners up there and you guys ever plan meets let me know...I don't mind a 2 hr shot up to your neck of the woods if I get to meet some fellow 63'ers. Especially if you or anyone else has done modifications. I'm thinking exhaust and bigger tires right of the hop here. Has anyone tried to see how big we can go with these 19" rims on the rear of the coupe without rubbing? I'd like to have 275's back there for more grip if they won't rub or stick out past the frame much and prob a 245 up front ( again if there isn't a clearance issue). Anyway I'm rambling on now.... 245 front and 275 rear are about as big as you would want to go on the OEM 19s. That shouldn't rub either if you are on stock suspension (and even if not you should be OK).Originally Posted by CK17

I changed the rubber on the 19s to 245/265 Michelin PSS before they even went on the car
I debated 275 rear but decided I wanted to go 265 given the 9" wide rear wheel. I'll see how that feels and may go 275 after the rears wear out.Quote:

The Michelin PSS are the tires I'm looking at getting ( I have a friend who works for Michelin and gets tire tickets so I'll gladly be taking some of those lol) I just wasn't sure how big would be too big. I've only had the car for a few weeks and have been away for all but 6 days out of that time so I haven't really had time to look the tires and rims over in detail - pull em off etc. I figured I'd just ask on here, be lazy , and piggy back off someone elses' trial and error efforts. Are the 265's on the rear pretty flush with the fender or do they protrude? I don't want to go 275 if they will protrude... why oh why don't these cars come with a wide body kit like the BS??? I mean come on...they have flares on the front...why not match it up to the rear?Originally Posted by gthal

265s won't protrude... can't say for 275 but I would bet not. I went 265 mainly because a 275 tire is on the wider side for a 9" wheel. I HATE tire bulge and worried a 275 might look that way. I may end up with a 275 next go round but haven't yet decided. I had PSS on my M3 and liked them a lot. I also had Bridgestone RE-11 and actually liked them more than the PSS for pure performance. However, they were also a little rougher. With only a 30 profile rear (which is only a tiny amount of rubber) I worried the RE-11 would be a little too harsh for the car. The PSS is the best overall tire for comfort and performance around today IMO.Originally Posted by CK17

LOL.. thanks Jim, if you knew the battle I had with the wife over them you'd laugh. they were ordered , then dropped to regular black, then finally put back on the order sheet. I had to argue with the sales guy ( the wife was the go between since I'm away often) because when she went in to confirm the order and place a deposit he told her that the red/black wasn't an option and it was only all red or all black for this car. When she looked at a car at the dealership with all red seats she wasn't a fan and wanted all black so I had to convince her the sales guy was wrong and I was correct.... then when that failed I had to email her pictures of the car with the red and black colour combo to show that it was an option. Thankfully in the end I won outOriginally Posted by jim07
