Pulled up to a red light next to Vette last night ;)
So I pull up to the right side of a tinted up late model Vette on a 2 lane local road last night...
I could see the silhouettes of the driver and a woman (his gf?)
I was minding my own business, next thing I hear is him reVVing up his engine.
He's leaned over to the right w/ a swag and looking over at me (I think he was trying to look cool or something)
Sorry, but I couldn't resist the op. I put it in Sport (I only have 500 miles on my car), turned the Sports Handling mode on, and waited anxiously for the light to turn green...
As soon as it turned green, I MASHED the gas and so did he...
We both had some minimal wheel spin (the Vettes obviously have traction control as well).
He inched ahead for a nanosec, until (I think) he shifted...
After that, I PULLED ahead of him and could see only his headlights in my sideview mirror until I hit about 75 mph... I let off and so did he.
He pulls up to the next light, rolls his window down and gives me the thumbs up

and drove off...
It was a GREAT way to end my night. Just sharing.. I reaLLy love this car

Good day ALL!! hahahahhahaha

However, I know he maxed out 1st gear, and it was when he was shifting to 2nd, I pulled away and he fell behind. It was a short "race" so to speak, and his car looked totally stock. Not a Z06 or anything...
It just felt reaLLy good to pull away on his a$$ and see him give me the thumbs up at the next light
Bottom line, this C63 is a force to be reckoned with... BEAST!!! I LOVE IT

Stock for stock, C63s fare well against C6 Vettes (non-Z06/ZR1.) I've raced by best friend who has a C6 Grand Sport many times at the drag strip and 60-130s.
Pre-tune, I was neck and neck with him through the 1/4 mile and up to 130.
Post tune, I handled him pretty easily (+3 cars by 130.)

Don't discount Corvettes, they make great power and are fast, and relatively light. A ZR1 will eat us, for lunch. Bottom line, is the driver behind the wheel.

OK, we don't have a lot of 'Vettes in Aus, but for sure the 427 Z06, & LS9 powered ZR1 would go pretty hard.....but surely a C63 would be too good for an "ordinary" one which "only" have a 6.2L LS3 engine with what..around 320KW?

Good to know this... Bring it on Corvette!!! (non-Z06/ZR1)
Question:
Post tune, how do you think you would do against a Z06/ZR1?
Ive ran against a C6 Vette when I was bone stock and he walked me. Those cars have great power to weight ratio since they are light.
After getting my tune I ran up against another Vette and walked him.
The C6 Vette is no slouch.

The C63 weights more but it has a much more refined engine that has some aids like:
Variable timing , 4 valve per cylinder, bigger throtle bodies. The Auto Sport mode shifts very quick too.
I had a C6 Z06 before my C63, I know what I am talking about. Yes,, you are right about the weights but the weights is not all. I hard hard times trying to accelerate from a dig on my Z06 with its massive 325s.
