purchased my c63, new member
I bought my 2011 c63 a few weeks ago. truly an amazing car for the money. I have been lurking here since. I thought I would register and say hello. its stock but I have added some legal tinting to safeguard the interior and add some privacy. I am not sure if i like how dark the tint is or not. i dont want it to look like it's some kid's car and i am a little concerned about night time visibility. i suspect it will grow on me

Welcome and the car looks great. As a friendly suggestion, you should consider losing the orange side markers and replacing them with painted or dark tinted ones. They really clean up the sides of the car.

Its the law in the U.S to keep the Orange side markers.

They are also mandatory in Canada... i dont know about US, but here the cops wont bother to pull you over for such a little offence. They might ticket you for it if they pull you over for something else major though.

To the OP, clean car!! And I'm very curious to know what % tint you got... they look dark & seems like your front windshield is tinted too? Might be the lighting though.

A law that is really not enforced. Besides, you can still get clear or smoked lenses with stealth bulbs that are only yellow when illuminated. Yellow lenses NOT required as daytime reflectors.

wow thanks for all of the replies! such a great car.

the tint is 3m color stable 35/20 w no tinting on the windshield. must just be the way that the sun caught it

ah, gotcha. based on your familiarity with that story, I theorized you were local. i'm not sure if i will mod at all. i want to keep the warranty completely intact. if i can do a couple of performance add ons without voiding anything, its certainly possible!

Evosport-- not cheap, but nice quality. I have these.
