Looks great from video clip! Can't wait for the real run after a little "run in" the new tranny, especially for NOS on the track!

Just a quick update:
Got the tranny installed and rented Bradenton yesterday expecting to put down some new times. However, we ran into some unusual tranny related issues. We did manage to eek out a 10.274 @ 138.54 and 10.31 @ 138.27. We are going to have the shop reset some adaptives that go deeper than I could do at the track. Then back out again.
Good news - running N/A was very good. In over 80 degree heat, +1500 DA, and over 50% humidity we had four passes in the 10.9 range and all four had 60's in the 1.5xx. The best was a 10.91 @ 127mph. The 60' was 1.562. However, I had a 10.944 @ 126.81 with a 1.54 60'. All the N/A runs were strong and the new tranny and converter performed well.
The challenges started running nitrous with the additional HP and torque. Steve at Weistec is working with me to get things resolved. I will keep you updated as I know more. Hopefully we can get it done this week.

Now you have a new transmission. I would think you need at least 250-300 miles of hard miles for the new transmission to adapt. What do you think?
Your tapping 138mph and making 10 second passes @ 80F, which is excellent. I think you could hit 9 seconds with the same conditions when the tranny adapts.

Keith, I am surprised that you took it to track this fast. I could be wrong, but shouldnt you put more miles on your car to get the new trannyfully adapted?

I guess Keith was so excited and couldn't wait for another 300+ miles.
I'm sure he's going to record more videos after the adaptation takes place.

I made over 10 passes N/A prior to turning on the nitrous and it performed flawlessly. See the slips below.

Then when we added the extra 200RWHP and 250RWTQ it began to slip. We reset the adaptives at the track and it would perform better the next run but after that it was back to slipping. We would reset the adaptives and it would perform better the next run and then the next run would slip. We went back and forth until it no longer recovered when we reset the adaptives. No one is exactly sure why it was slipping but I am working with Steve to get it resolved. I'll keep you updated.

REALLY, you and Sirex63 crack me up. With something this new and important don't you think I was communicating with Steve at Weistec regularly?? If you read my post above I said I drove it to work. Then I went out and drove it just as Steve instructed and it performed very well.

You turn the key on without starting the car and then press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for at least 10 seconds. Then while its depressed you turn the key off and then release the pedal. Then let the car sit for at least two minutes according to Steve. It seemed to work for one run and then it would slip the next, etc., etc.....
I am running the MHP cam tune which Steve reviewed and said was excellent so no software challenges.
I believe I am the track test mule so we are working through the issues together. They have other cars out there with similar power levels to mine but they are running street tires or drag radials that will spin and not slicks like I am that are not forgiving and put extreme stress on all the parts.
Big difference in the two. Hopefully there is a solution.

That's a lot of power to be putting to the ground with a dead hook. This is wayyy beyond what the car was ever designed for.
If anyone can figure things out it is Weistec.
If you look at any muscle cars running 700RWHP they have all kinds of special goodies to get that power to the ground and even then they are still breaking stuff.

Id say we should be grateful that a company is actually developing products for the M156 instead of constantly judging and picking apart their work.
Trying to launch a car on 315 drag slicks puts huge stresses on a drive train.

As far as I'm thinking the car isn't running 315 slicks and isn't spraying off the line, the slipping I'm assuming is coming in the 1-2 2-3 shifts lmk if in wrong
