my wife bananas! :D
09 vs 10 C63
new member here. Spent the last few days just reading threads and figured why not join the community! I'm not too well versed in the world of automobiles so please go easy on me ... however, judging by the threads in this forum, I'll be able to learn alot!
I'm currently thinking of buying either a 09 or 10 C63 but was wondering what did MB change in the '10 year that i will miss on the 09 if both cars just had the premium pkg ( i believe performance came in '10?). What I'm wondering about are changes to body, mechanical, electrical etc on the base car that would justify me spending more $$ on a '10.
Also, I've always bought new so this will be my first 'previously enjoyed' car... I'll be buying it from a MB dealership but was wondering what tips do you guys have for me in terms of what to look for and what to ask.
Thanks!

The iPod integration from MY2010 is a bit better from 09; the P31 package up the power by 30 but removed the stiffer AMG suspensions; LSD became stand alone extra apart from P31; design changes for the side mirrors to reduce wind noise. Everything else pretty much the same.
Hope this helps,

My premium '10 has the auto folding mirror option in the settings & also if you have it disabled, the button between the L & R mirror adjustment buttons.

Keyless GO is not available in ALL 09 US models but is widely available for 10 ones.
Also, lots of 09 ones do not have rear view camera installed, although this is gonna be an relatively easy job at a reputable body shop

I don't think reverse camera is a standard for 2010.

You're right, no it's not then and it's not now (Personally I found it really offensive that it's not standard on an AMG). But for some reason obviously I don't know of, lots of 10 models have it while it's almost a treat to see one 09 with it.

thanks for the replies so far guys.
since i am buying from a MB dealership, i would assume it is mechanically sound. was wondering if there is anything i should eyeball as a once over before making the deal. Also, for the members here who are well versed with how dealership do things, about how much room do they have for negotiations? if they even entertain that at all.
thanks again

uhhh...no. you want to inspect the car throughway even though you are getting it from a dealership/cpo. CPO warranty is just something to help sell the car but you should inspect the car for any faults anyways

Seriously? Power seats aren't standards?
I don't believe the OP said that the car is CPO. Just because it's a MB dealer doesn't mean all used are CPO. And yes, you would definitely want to inspect the car inside out or even bring your own mechanic if you are not sure what to look out for.

and yeah just wanted to remind the OP that CPO doesnt mean you dont have to check it.
