Which stck C63 are we talking about? C63 p31 with the dual clutch, or a p31 C63 with the MCT or a non-PP C63 with dual clutch
Look at what I wrote:
A stock SL63 dyno about 380-390rwhp. Now a stock C63 with dual clutch and non PP would dyno a little less 350-360. However, the same C63 with a P31 would dyno more than both.
That said. I want to see what a stock C63 p31 with an MCT dyno at? I am guessing 420rwhp, since it is tuned from the factory.
The MCT is a more powerful transmission. It shifts quicker than the dual cutch, thats why it sucks up more horsepower. I hope that answers your question

Look I found this, this is a stock P31 C63 with the MCT:
https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...-1-4-mile.html
430 RWHP. I hope the OP sees this
by the way. It is SAE corrected :-)

There is no such thing as a C63 with DCT. C63's only came in 7 speed auto or MCT.

I find it hard to believe the MCT is less efficient than a 7spd. The 7 Spd has a torque converter and tranny clutches, while the MCT has no torque converter and just clutches...
A torque converter in my mind would eat up more power then the MCT...
Any dyno evidence?

Clearly you have no understanding of what you are talking about. I will be more than happy to take the time and provide you with some proof.
Here is a C63 from Evosport recieving a TUNE ONLY:
http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/mercedes-amg/146501-evosport-powerchip-stage-1-c63-ecu-tune-development.html
this is the normal detuned C63, it made 370rwhp at stock form. Afterwards it made 430rwhp
Here is an SL63 also from Evosprt. this SL had a tune+headers+ Xpipe:
https://mbworld.org/forums/sl55-amg-sl63-amg-sl65-amg-r230/337791-evosport-sl63-long-tube-header-thread.html
you can clearly see it made 380 at stck form and 437 rwhp after the mods, thats only +7 hp from the tune only C63
The MCT transmission will result in more drivetrain loss than the normal 7G tronic but with better shifting
you can contact Simon from evosport, Richard from dynocomp and even Andy from MHP and they will agree with what I told you.

So headers and x pipe gained 7 hp over just a tune soley because of the MCT? That is a huge loss.
Most guys with tune headers are sitting around 465-470rwhp.. So the MCT is soaking up 35-40rwhp??
So your claiming the MCT is good for a loss of roughly 8-9% extra drivetrain loss compared to the 7G?
I don't think this is right. Why would they come out with a new tranny that is hugely inefficient compared to an older model just to shift faster?? What's the point of the faster shifts if your losing 8% rwhp??

FWIW, a stock 2011 E63(MCT) made 10whp less than my stock 2010 C63 P31(7G) on the same dyno on the same day.

I did not claim a %8-9. Please take the time to read exactly what I am trying to tell you. I gave you an example of a same tune for the C63 and SL63 with the SL being modded a little more.
The same modded two cars betweem an SL63(MCT) and a C63 (Gtronic) the C63 will be making more. I dont care if you believe it or not.
The Evosport SL63 is not a basis, just an example. Dont forget My SL63 made 465rwhp.

(a)'12 C63 P/P, LSD, 19" m/spoke,comfort pack. (b)Astra SRI.
So what you're saying is that if you've got an engine with those sorts of numbers, & you treat it with at least a little bit of respect, then the transmission is not going to be cause for concern....JUST ASKING...that's all!
Cheers, Pickles.

G'Day from Aus.....Mate, you seem to know your cars.......but geez, 1000HP, & 1000NM??.....Mate....they are BIG numbers...VERY big.

So far, we have not seen an M156 or M157 making those numbers yet, but the MCT transmission will handle those numbers.
Do you know which transmission is used on the new Brabus Rocket and Buillt, which are rated @ 800HP and 1400NM??
The AMG MCT 7speed speedshift..

Yes, its a powerful transmission that even brabus layed down the powerful 5-speed auto for the MCT

No worries.
Yes, I am aware of that Brabus car, but not that it had the MCT transmission.
Was that transmission modified at all?.....if it wasn't, then for sure, we've got a strong transmission.
It's just hard to imagine the standard transmission handling the sort of forces that would be put on a full throttle gear change....with 1000NM pounding away in there!
