MY12/13 C63 wagon info - no lsd option??
Hi folks,
I'm from Australia, and am about to take the plunge and order a C63 wagon.
Couple of q's:
-Is it now viable for me to request an MY13 model?...I know there won't be many (if any) changes, but figure if I need to wait 4-5mths, might as well be for the "latest" version?
-I've been told by several dealers now that the lsd option is no longer available for the wagon (and they don't know why)!! The pre-facelift version had one, so I don't understand why the facelift model can't be ordered with one too??

Yeah-the code 471 doesn't come up on the system for the estate 
I actually rang MB Australia HQ, and they've confirmed that it isn't available...but no valid reason why!!
It really irks me, that such an important feature can't be ordered at all over in Oz, but is blatantly available in Europe.
Wonder who I should pester next for an answer...

To be honest not being able to get LSD wouldn't stop me buying the car. I don't have LSD but in saying that I don't drive my car that hard. I would say unless you are planning on keeping it for a long time or taking it on the track and driving it hard, don't bother with the $5000 option.

I know, I know-it's only a relatively minor quibble over a terrific car.
I guess I'm more annoyed at MB Oz as to the mysterious disappearance of that option-it's not as if AMG don't make them!

Just get an aftermarket LSD e.g. Quaiffe.
I don't have the LSD on my estate.
I usually drive my car hard and it never crossed my mind to get one.
There have been multiple debates here whether it's worth the money.
To me, it's just one of those extra options which are not a must-have.

Just an update.
Got an email from MB-AMG Germany, saying that from mid 2011, they don't offer the LSD as an option anymore due to it exceeding the allowable rear axle total weight...must be a hefty sucker!
Oh well, at least that clarifies it for me finally!
I have ordered the estate all the same, so now just have to endure the wait!!

I spoke to Melb MB too, and the guy I spoke to said the LSD code wasn't listed for the estate, but didn't know why. Several other dealers mentioned this, so I figured I'd go to the top to get some answers!
