Looks like DLSJ5's (drew's) M3 and Josh's C63

Read on another forum that M3 is putting down 630 to the wheels. C63 didn't stand a chance...DCT + power-weight ratio = M3 victory!

I'd like to see them run again from a dig...I suspect the C63 torque would be a factor here.

Both cars are monsters!! Looks like the DCT and weight advantage gave Drews M3 the edge.

+1
Noticed that too, apparently it is a development car.
Haven't heard of ESS doing any low compression motor builds on the S65 engine besides Drews car. I could be wrong though.
I know he previously had a Gintani S/C kit.

Was on the website and the highest HP kit ESS supplies is the VT2-650 kit.
Maybe the VT3-725 kit is done upon special request?

Josh needs to shed some pounds, he weighs two passengers

nah, j/k

but seriously, to stay close to that M3, he needs to change the roof and trunk into something else, CF maybe?

Do you know why did he ditched the Gintani kit for the ESS? What was the reason? I thought the Gintani kit was running great?

The reason why he switched is for another thread. Not this one.

His is currently the only vt3 kit but I know there is another one being built now.

You're some funny guys...

Yeah, Drew's car is the ESS development car. It's got a built bottom end with 10.5:1 pistons, and 14psi of boost. 644whp on the same dyno my car did 608.

He neglects to mention he's got Toyo R888s in the back, and I had major wheelspin in the first run... So there's that. Not that it would have changed the outcome much.

He manhandled me, but I know a 3rd gear run would have had better results.

The extra passenger and my fat *** didn't help either, lol.

And this is happening, which should help level the playing field:

Yeah, billet round to oval intake adaptors... Can't wait to melt your faces with finished product.

Drew had a bad rod bearing that caused his motor to seize. This wasn't due to the Gintani S/C kit. Though its very rare, the rod bearings in the OEM S65 V8 are known to go bad because of oil starvation. Gintani also has a L/C built motor setup that has fixed this issue.

Here is a pic of a bad rod bearing.
I believe this is out of a OEM non modded M3. Not sure though

My car was one of the first, another one is finishing up now on the east coast. Right on but the psi, is in the 12.5 - 13psi range at peak power.

I didn't know I had to mention I was running R888's! Should I mention you're a widebody with 315's? FWIW I did say I was running R888's on M3post!

Well it was vengeance for the last time we ran when we were N/A, you manhandled me in those runs! How many times did I get beat on? We'll do 3rd gear next time as well.

No doubt passenger is good for at least a car or more.

Atta boy! I know you'll come back with some more firepower! Love the kit Broski, and you know the Silver Dragon is my favorite C63! Always great hanging with you as well.

Hey Dodger, I have not taken it to the strip yet. When I was on the stock block with a VT625 kit, 7.5psi, it ran 11.3 @ 129 in roughly 1500' DA I believe, lackluster 1.9 60' though. The same setup went 132MPH at Atco. The clutch was in bad shape from all the 1/4 mile runs I did, so I'll need a linelock before I go again, probably won't make the trip to the track until it's cooler out.

FYI, I've always been a big fan of you and your car, incredible times, very impressive.

Thank you. In just trying to comparewhat the stage 2 built weistec car might be capable of at the track. Since we have zero results? Obviously a few street race videos dont mean much but from the chatter about this weistec product looked like he was running a 9sec bmw

One thing you gotta remember, and I say this with the utmost respect for Drew, is he's really good at not letting on what he has going on until he absolutely has to. For example, he told me he was at 600whp on Friday when we were setting up... Had I known he was at 644, I would probably have made up some lame excuse about changing my tampon and needing to buy feminine wipes instead or racing, or something.

He's a master gamer.

And you will get taken.
