Got New Tires - Best Decision Ever!
I just had new 18" Michelin PSS put on my stock rims and I must say they are a world of difference -mind you I was on completely shredded tires. I know a lot has been said about these tires already but they are as good as everyone says! Thank you to all of you who helped influence my decision. They hook great in the dry, there was a little drizzle this evening and they still performed great! I even found myself on the highway with a (Blacked out) pesky 335 that would accelerate fast in front of me then slow down until I reached him only to do it again. After the third time I said enough of this and when he started too accelerate I stayed on his ***! LOL he was very annoying. I later pulled hard on him and we all know how that turned out. Anyways no real new information than what many of you already know, but I just thought Id post to share my experiences.
Oh and I met noodleman briefly at a meet Friday night in Toronto. Really great guy with a great looking ride! Looking forward to seeing what he's going to do to it!

Nice work. I just got some replacement Vreds for the rear then found out that the Toyos in the front were gashed...fml. If I would've known, I would've just got a matched set of PSS's. In any case, new tires always feel amazing

Another member who has reached a state of illumination I also got mine last week with the HRE's. My last tire were in pretty good shape (except for the screw in one of the tires) so i can't really say how much better they are. Frankly don't notice much of a difference.

I put a set on about a month ago (245/265) and they really are the next generation in tires at a killer price. They hook in any straight line acceleration situation aside from flooring it from a dead stop. Dry handling is very predictable with oversteer being much harder to induce. I am not interested in exploring the limits in the rain but for normal spirited wet driving I have seen no vices. Mine will only see street duty but I have a friend who is currently competing in the "one lap of America" in a 2013 GTR that is nearly stock aside from a set of PSS's. He also ran a 1:33 at Road Atlanta with this same car, obviously these tires have a serious performance envelope for track duty! It will be interesting to see what longevity they have, my last Star Spec rears lasted 9,000 miles but were so bald they would spin flooring it at 40 mph.

My friend with a 996 got me to go, I think it's mainly a porsche meet, but lots of euros show up.
