Raced a CTS-V last night
Had a short race with a CTS-V last night - from approx. 45mph to 90mph and I beat him by 3/4 car length. I was surprised - thought he might be faster than me with his 556 bhp but he wasn't! He was eager and ready to go so we both accelerated at the same time and neither one of us got a jump. I was slowly pulling away from him all the time. His windows were blacked out so I couldn't see how many people were in his car. My C63 has a Eurocharged tune, only me in it and 3/4 tank of fuel.

Nice kill, I also beat a new cts V sedan the other night, 70-115 I pulled about 1 and 1/2 cars on him. I was really surprised but stoked. He had exhaust for sure and possibly more mods idk.
Killed my best friends e92 m3 with full exhaust last night as well, when I was stock he beat me one time and I beat him once, not very consistent but last night I pulled close to 2 cars two times in a row.

For example (If my math is right and I have the Ratios right)
The C63 at 45 MPH in 2nd gear is a 4600 RPM. Perfect for launching in a roll race.
The CTSV has 2 options.
2nd gear at 5000 RPM @ 45 MPH
3rd gear at 3200 RPM @ 45 MPH

CLK550
Lol its funny how everyone does their street racing on saturday night when the most cops are out. With that in mind, I, in my CLK550 (not that close to a c63 by any means), beat 2 modded, newer Mustang GTs and a modded Porsche Cayman S from around 80kph (50mph) to (250kph) 150mph. You never really know if other drivers are drunk or not so I try not to go any faster than that.

FWIW I walked a sick steel gray '11 C63 sedan a couple of days ago, and the V wasn't even breaking a sweat.

2009 C63
A few weeks ago I did a couple rolling pulls with a CTS-V but my experiences were slightly different. My car is bone stock...no performance mods whatsoever.
The first pull I had the car in "C" mode....like a dumbass. But I wasn't expecting a race so I just went with it. It was from about 50mph up to triple digits. He pulled very slightly, maybe 1 car length by about 120mph.
The second pull I switched into "S" mode and the results were different. We stayed pretty much dead even the whole time.
Either way I was pretty surprised. I thought for sure that the V should walk away, but I think it's just a heavy car, and maybe the gearing isn't optimal.

The gearing is so different in this car its hard to have a clean roll race between the two.
The CTSV wants to race at either...
30ish MPH in 2nd at around 4500 RPM
or
60 MPH in 3rd at around 4500 RPM.
The C63 to match those speeds for a clean race would be...
1st gear at 35 MPH at 6000 RPM
2nd gear at 35 MPH at 4500 RPM
3rd gear at 60 MPH at 5500 RPM
Race from a dig or a 10 MPH roll is the only way to get a good clean race between the C63 and the CTSV.

I made corrections.. My ratios were off. I believe 35ish is a good starting speed between the C63 and the CTSV. Not the best for the CTSV but as close as it can be.
35 MPH in 1st for the CTSV at 5500 RPM
35 MPH in 2nd for the C63 at 4500 RPM
The C63 would 100% gain as it can take 2nd to 60 MPH and the CTSV will shift at 45 MPH into 2nd gear.
Otherwise a 10mph roll in 1st or a dig is better.
