Is the owner on the forum? I was the white M3 that gave you the thumbs up if you are on here... Looks much better than the c63 in person.

You can drive for 6 months with no plates in Cali.

His car is new--- DMV in Cali takes about 45 days to mail out the plates. And yes the front plates are mandatory in California but in my case, not often enforced unless its part of a another primary violation like speeding.

You can for longer than that if you want to take a chance but if you get pulled over all the enforcement agencies know exactly when your license plates were issued by the DMV. They will cite you for no plates displayed if they know they were issued.

I don't plan on putting on front license plates - ever Rear: I actually may put it on soon.

I'm running no front plate. We'll see how long I can stretch that out.

The other issue is more serious though. I brought a car from another state and they were ***** about having me register it within 30 days. I got pulled for "expired" tags once. They reasoned that my out of state tags were expired because I was beyond the 30 day period even though I had months left on my other registration. I don't know of any other state that is this **** about that sort of thing.

FF. W212 E63 M156 non-pano 18" P2 ParkT NightV (gone but will be missed).
With all these issues in the Republik of Kali, I'm suprised all you people don't try to move to another state. I can never think of a good reason why a car would need a front license plate, since law enforcement is almost always on your tail, and not ahead of your. Of course, there is no sense reasoning with them--lots of things don't make sense in Kali.

I'm sure lots of you know that the rest of the country is looking at Kali with weary eyes. Aside from the endless sunshine, there is almost nothing good at this moment about that sh#$hole called Kali. I don't mean to bash it since I grew up over there, too. Sorry for going off topic.

Anyway, that's a good looking ride. Watch out for the quota-thirsty cops.

Looks good. It will probably be a while until I get to see one in my area.

Front license plates are also required in VA but I haven't been pulled since I got my black series over 3 years ago. Anyone that drills holes in a car like that should be shot

depends on the cops I guess. I've gotten speeding ticket with no front plate and no mention of it on the ticket, but I've also been pulled over just for not having a front plate.
fix it ticket . . . easily solved with some creative / temporary engineering

Wow, I dont get it... if you drive w\o rear or front plates in CA, don't you need to display some temp plates on the rear (or front) window? I cant seem to see any on the BS pictured above.

jsc, how can you drive around w\o plates for 3 years & not get pull over? lol This is like a joke & unheard of.

Ok, if no plates (and no temp plates) are required for new cars... then how can the officer gives you parking tickets? Is it freebies for new cars? Sorry for asking too much questions, but it's weird.. lol

Actually yes there is.

For all the newly purchased vehicle from the dealership, there's a temporary registration which was inserted into a plastic envelope(such as those UPS shipping label envelope) and sticked to the lower corner of the inner windshield

Yes, that makes more sense... we do have that too in Canada, temporary plates.

But in jsc case, he said he drove 3 years w\o plates? How can u get temp plates for such a long period? lol

Anyone have an easy, temporary solution for a fix-it ticket for tinted windows? Trying to see if I can get around it somehow by having a cop sign off or making up an invoice that says I paid to get them removed.

i took that sticker off too. i had a dealer plat (idk what you call it) but its the plate your car comes with. the one that says for example "mercedes benz of california" plate thing but now i have the plate thats on my sig. and ive never gotten pulled over or gotten a ticket.

Wow, amazing... I guess cops in CA got other things to do then look for ppl plates... lol ! Heck, in Canada you would get pull over in no times if you drive w\o plates... and when you have temp plate stickers, they still pull you over to check the expiration\registration all the time.
