Jeremy isn't 100% right with that.. it's more that when it changes gear it leaves the fuel on and kills ignition or retards timing to kill power for a second while it gets the next gear. It gives the same result though...

So, just a heads up for all those P31 owners out there.. I decided to give the Eurocharged V3 flash a go on my new 2012 with P31. with 1200 miles on it.
Not even my optimistic butt dyno could tell the difference between the before and after.
So i took it in to dyno. Yep my suspicions were confirmed. I reached out to Eurocharged on Thursday last week sharing the results with them and I am yet to hear back on any suggestions.
The car actually made less hp. well -1 to a +2 gain. I did about 6 runs 3 before and 3 after the flash and my last run with the brabus air boxes.
Good thing is that it seems that the brabus/ROW air boxes seemed to give me 9rwh
But as for the V3 tune.. hmmm no.. not so much.
I am hoping they will look into it for me as it might just be a faulty tune or something..
I will update here or start a new thread for those with the P31 2012's thinking about gettign an Eurocharged flash.

If you do major hardware changes (headers/exhaust, supercharger, etc.) then of course an aftermarket tune to optimize everything, makes a bunch of sense.

The P31 tune is already a strong tune - not much (if anything) to be gained by going aftermarket tune-only on a P31 car. This has been tested repeatedly by owners - I don't think there are any independent dynos, nor 60-130 tests, that have shown a marked improvement with any aftermarket tune thrown onto a P31 car. If it's happened, at least, I don't recall seeing any.

The OE tune is stronger than the EC tune and even then a P31 car showed gains on the dyno but not much in the real world. (1/4 and 60-130)

we have seen as low as 17-18 to as high as 31 on the p31 cars...(good mid range torque as well)

Meh... Dyno numbers... P31 aftermarket tuned has shown little to no gains in real world conditions on multiple cars.

Hold your horses here...
I had some trouble loading the file.. as I stated, there might have been a problem with the file for my car.
I still believe Eurocharge can and will make a difference.
we know the p31's are a tad different and the margin is much smaller.
Sorry, i did not mean to post this as a flame as I KNOW that each car is different and a company is judge on its customer service as much as its product. And I have by no means given up on them at all. Great thing here is that we have a programmer and the potential of only an email away for fixing things.
As for the stats.. I had it on a Dynapack dyno as I intended on getting a cutome tune and they seem to be by far the best bet for getting the most constant number.. and it did.
I ran 3 runs stock and they were all within 3 hp from one another and 3 runs after the flash.
I know the flash took as the AFR immediately and constantly upped from 11.461 to 12.284
We did have some issues with the dyno in running in 5'th gear.
So we ran in 4'th and changed the ratio in the dyno to make it 1:1
I am waiting for the full file still but they sent over the final runs.
Attached below. Problem is that they highlighted the highest and lowest.
(Problem is that the highest one was the last one with the ROW air boxes so it skews it a bit)
I have another dyno scheduled for end of week to resets as I dont like to trust a single Dyno
Weather Data:
Temperature: 75.3 - 79.8 Deg
Humidity: 29.5 - 30.3
Stock:
Torque: 392.76
HP 421.610
AFR: 11,461
Tune Only: ( Highest )
Torque: 393.055
HP 424.750
AFR: 12,284
Tune+ROW boxes ( Shown Below as the MAX gain )
Torque: 398.055
HP 431.762
AFR: 12,284
And as I mentioned above, companies are judged by their customer service as much as they are judged by their product.
And that means I have not at all given up on them.
On the contrary, I have 100% faith that they are going to come through..

I honestly have no idea on how much hp you can gain on a p31 with EC tune. All i can tell you is that i have gone back and forth between stock and EC tune and i can for sure tell a difference in lower gears. The car pulls harder around 2 - 4k rpm to the point where i am getting a little wheel spin even with tc on. Not really see much difference in hight RPM though. If you already have an Xpipe , i would get a tune. Either tune should be fine.

Newbie here with a 2012 C63AMG Sedan...LOVE the car! I am going to buy the EC handheld programmer and the EC V4 tune...Also found out from Jerry that the V4 tune is stable and will be publicly available this Monday!
As per Jerry, faster/ smoother shifts, higher shift times! No dyno chart just yet but on the way!

When you got that kind of power the difference in weight makes no difference...
All I want to know is if I tune my C63 from 451hp to 500hp like apparently is possible am I going to be spending more or less money at the pumps.
I don't need 500hp but if it gets the same or better mileage I'd be interested.

Obviously I cant answer your question. But it's worth mentioning that some people reports better fuel efficiency with the tune.
