C63 daily driver?

As per my previous post I forgot to mention another question I had. Is the C63 a good daily driver? Does anyone use their 63 as a dd?

I use mine on my 100 mile round trip commute to work every other day (carpool).

Great DD if you don't mind paying out the **** for fuel.

you could just 'edit' your other post instead of creating a new thread. There are tons of previous posts on this topic

however,

The C63 is arguably the best daily driver for its class. Mine is my DD, i use it for absolutely everything. From my 200-250km commute each day, to buying stuff at walmart, picking up the kid and going pretty much everywhere it works great in every situation. I like how its subtle so it blends in with normal traffic without sticking out like a sore thumb but you can toast a majority of the cars on the road when you want. The high torque is great for city driving lol......

anyways, I bought this car to be enjoyed and enjoying it I definitely am

If I read your profile that you live in Toronto, I do too and have a question for you. Winter will I be teleported to the highway guard-rails or am I safe?

Its great for DD other than bad mileage and rough suspension. engine also tends to get abit loud in traffic.

I was getting a little excited with my new car and ignored the forecast that it was going to snow and this happened.

LOL thanks for the video. I also own a 7 series I guess I should get used to rear-wheel drive cars in the winter now.

Lol... on the plus side, love the sound of the exhaust... Eagle Talon to the rescue haha

The C63 is ok in the snow... you will definitely definitely need to invest in a set of good snow tires. I plan to drive mine year round My friends who have had their C63s for a couple years now all do well in the winter and haven't come face to face with any guard rails yet lol. just need to practice more care and caution definitely.

LOL yea I think I'll need some snow tires for that car as I can easily make a 4Matic car spin out with winters.

Yea you also dont want to dirty such a beautiful car. I own a Rolla so I can just push that around in the snow.

It's not a good DD for normal people. It's an awesome daily driver for lunatics.

Mine was purchased to replace my existing DD and will be my only car. If I wanted to worry about fuel, I'd ride my motorcycle.

Just remember, front wheel drive normally gets you up a snowy hill, so pop that baby in reverse

The C63 is my new, and current daily driver, as of 2 days ago. I can't think of any reason why this car isn't an amazing DD.. Weather, Gas mileage and tire wear are obivous; so aside from those things, nothing prevents this car from being a great DD.

the stiff suspension will make it a rougher ride

What did you drive before?

haha yeah I had 8k springs on my RSX and k20 Teg and C63 is comfortable in comparison to them.

b16...i guess you are into Hondas as well?

C63 is my first AMG benz but my family have owned a couple of Benzes before S, E, regular C so yeah they are soft in comparison. I guess because it is a Benz and its stock I expect it to be more comfortable haha. I understand it is a performance model though so stiff suspension is a part of it. I just think strictly as a DD the ride could be more forgiving. (my friends S5 and M3 are softer).

C63 is a rough ride for sure, especially if you have the P30 suspension. I drive mine every day all year round without issues.

Last winter was pretty mild without much snow, but even the days where there was snow/ice, the car handled fine as long as you were careful and don't go nuts on the gas pedal. the ESC works wonders during the winter time (with winter tires) to make the car quite driveable.

Definately a "DD" stands out where I'm at. Plus the personal Plates are a nice added touch.
