decisions.. 2009 or 2010 c63?
what would be your suggestion given these choices? both are CPO but the 1.99 APR finance rate from MB financials ends on 05-31.
I've seen a 2010 priced at 48,995 CPO tim 25k miles. This doesn't have the multimedia package which sucks :-(
A lot of 2009 around but I'm worried about issues like rattles or the issue with coolant, etc - does 2010 models have these problems?
*would the 2010 models drop significantly on maybe august or sept 2012 as new 2013 models would be coming up for sale?
let me know your thoughts on this. thanks.

My 2010 had some annoying rattles in the dash, door speakers and near the rear sunshade. The sunshade area rattle was the worst and usually happened when it was relatively cold outside (~50-60F). It was bad enough that I had to take the car to the dealership three times for it, but they still couldn't figure it out! My 2011 is rock solid so far.
I don't think anything will drop significantly now that the demand has gone up and there are some supply issues on the horizon. You just have to find good deals, and if the car feels and looks good, jump on it! $49k for a 25K CPO without Multimedia package is too high, unless it has other options that substantially increase the MSRP. I wouldn't buy a car without MM package, imho. It could be very difficult to sell it whenever you need to. Pretty much every C63 out there has MM, just like the leather package.

My 09 isn't the best for rattles and overall "crashiness"...

so is the 09 only the models that have more of the 'head gasket' issues? i think this is the only thing that i kind of hesitating on purchasing 09.. some prices for 09's and 10's are kind of close - and if that 's the case i'd go for the 10's. rattles i can probably live with.. thanks for the input..

Read the sticky. The head bolt issue is by engine number not by model year and some of 2010 are affected. The engine numbers are on the sticky. If you buy a car with with the affected engine number range I would get an extended warranty. I would not buy a car without the Multi Media Package.

so what do you think is the good price for 10 models?

Do you think at the range of $40k-43k is feasible for a 10 model?

So now, what's the good price for a CPO 10 models? The drive out price for that 10 without the multi-media comes out to almost $52k.. was trying to get the 1.99 financing from MB (ends May 31st). Got a pre-approved loan from my bank with the same rate so now I can expand my search a bit (location wise).

if you could find one with multimedia and performance package on a 2010, i would spring for that. sure, the amg napa leather is nice and feels great but it will show much more wear than the MB tex. is this not the exact reason the black series only has MB tex?

thanks for all the inputs (on pricing).. so what's do you think is a good deal on a 10 then? $45-48k? just wanted to get a decent/fair price before i go make offers on cars posted within my area. last week, when i inquired (and test drove) that 2010 (without MM), the sales guy immediately said if i ask for .01 cent lower than their asking price then i he'd say bye to me - i thought about walking out of the door right away (not sure if people's appearance makes any differences but i only have time to go to dealerships on saturdays and come is wearing plain shirt, shorts and sandals) so maybe i don't look like a serious buyer. to have him let me test drive it i filled up the loan application form and let their finance dept review it (and get approval), as soon as i get back from the test drive, they are willing to give me the keys if i sign the documents even without a downpayment.. i talked to my wife about this and told her it don't have MM and the slight damage on the bolster leather on the driver's side (which seems to be common on cars i've been looking at online) kind of a 'deal breaker' for her. they bulge a bit on the price but not to where i'm looking at - they said it's too low for my $44k. the car was originally priced at $51k but that was 62 days ago. what i like on this car was it had new breaks (pads and rotors) and new tires (seems not all CPO have this).. maybe.. just maybe the price would drop some more in the next 30 days.. but again, not sure if this car will sit in their lot for that long period. was contemplating to have MM installed - if that's possible (is it?) but that'll be about $2,700. anyways, i'll look and wait/see for other c63's to show up.. maybe even consider an 09 for the right price (that i can afford).

This dealer/car combination just does not sound good to me. I sold my 2010 with less than 5k miles and 3 years of warranty remaining last year for $52k, and my car had MM package. The MSRP was $69.5K. I think the prices have gone up since I sold my car, but $49k for a 44k mile car without MM just doesn't sound right. I suspect this car had a low to mid $60k MSRP.
Why don't you try buying from a private seller who has taken good care of his car? You should be able to find cars with two or more years of warranty left.

Chances are you won't find it as most of them are very optioned up or barely any options. The MB tex as standard is pruely a price point issues. They wanted to advertise the lowest base MSRP for a AMG C63 as possible to make them look like screaming bargains compared to the AMG E63 which has many of these options standard.
