Cracked my front spoiler tonight. FML.
I had a big crack on my carbon fiber side skirt and I thought that won't be fixed
After a year I found a good bodyshop last month he did really good job fixing the part it look as it came new
Take it to a bodyshop with knowledge in carbon fiber and it should be easy it to fix.GL
Thanks!
Luckily, no damage to the lip or bumper other than a few scratches.. the drawer probably exploded when I hit it.. however, the drawers metal slide rail.. that got jammed up into the buttom of my car and destroyed 2 of the skid plates.
On the bright side, no damage to anything under the plates, so I cannot really complain too much as it could have been worse.

and sorry to hear that, cuz I know the feeling.

You can either paint it, or replace it. You might be able to come up with some sort of paint scheme that will allow you to leave some carbon fiber exposed.
If you want to just replace it, I'd be happy to help with that.

Pot holes that eat construction vehicle sized tires...
Every single road in the area at some point has been milled to be resurfaced.. the hood of my car has around 50+ little chips, and the white primer shows very clearly through steel grey...
There is always crap in the road (see my previous post in this thread about a drawer..) that I seem to be dodging.. most time successful, sometimes not..
I do not think it is necessarily DC, or even CA roads out to get our cars, it is the method that we use in the US to build the roads and inconsiderate people leaving **** all over the place.
I have driven in South Africa and in a few places in Europe (not in Germany sadly
), while I cannot talk to EU roads, the ones I was on where in great condition. In South Africa however (I lived there for 16 years), the road gets build and surfaced, and that is it, it is in mostly good condition and does not need to be resurfaced again for years... Unlike the freaking DC beltway which seems to be under permanent construction.. every 2 years I see the same spots being redone...
