LOL - you are very correct in your observation...
I have been on this forum forever but have yet to figure out how to use the function.. Every time another member uses it I stare in the post in amazement wondering "how in the hell did they do that"
I promise that I am nowhere near to computer illiterate, but clearly I have some learning to do!

If I scrub the tires well enough, no...especially when the track prep is still good.
If I roll out and run through a little patch of water, yes.
Once a good amount of cars hit the strip, then the system isn't as effective because of all the "marbles" left behind by cars running crappy tires.

25-30 psi is more ideal for a rear street tire at the track. The more wrinkle in the sidewall the better for traction to a certain point and safety becomes an issue.
Run your car in some negative DA and your ET's will drop.

Great run!
Did you notice any difference with race-start after tune?
I was wondering if the more hp/torque you have, the effectiveness will decrease with race-start.. Was not sure if mb just set a rpm level to launch or the ECU will adapt to different tires/ power upgrades?

I would assume that it is a function of the traction control sensors doing their job to modulate throttle position according to the road conditions etc.

I went to the strip first time today, but I was wondering how you can launch an MCT car WITHOUT using racestart. It was busy so I only got one run in and used the Race Start. But if I want to experiment more then how can I play around with launching? I assume you cannot do a brakestand with the MCT as there is no torque converter?

don't get me wrong ... i think those are great times ... but i do get a kick out of street cars on the track .... seems like if your looking do hit up the track ... wouldn't a purpose built car be better??? I mean I guess you could rip out the rear seats and passenger seat to cut weight ... take the spare out, get ultra light wheels and maybe racing slicks .... But what i really want to see if you running that setup without the seats going to work
