Need advice QUICK from Toronto area owners: Detailing suggestions
Hey guys,
Just got word my 2012 C63 is ready for pickup within 2 days. Very excited! The dealership has offered me a couple services at what I think are expensive prices.
I should start by saying that I normally wash and wax cars myself. Never really applies sealants or other protective product (exception of wax), so I don't have much experience with it, nor do I have ANY time (wife had twins 11 months ago).
They are offering:
Exterior Protection (paint sealant): $800 (5 yr warranty)
Interior Protection: $500 (5 yr warranty)
Combo of both $900
3M tape across nose (8mm) : $600
I think I should definitely look at some kind of exterior protection and the 3M across the nose, but am looking for detailing shops in the Mississauga/GTA area which offer these services. Only suggest places you've dealt with personally please. I am looking for a place who uses high quality products and take the extra precaution and care we would use on our own cars.
I really want to protect my newest baby, but not at stealership prices...
Any feedback would be appreciated

Don't let the dealership do this. Inferior products and inferior talent. Go to gtaindetail.com. This guy is VERY well known on detailing forums and his work, based on what I have seen, is stunning. He does new car preps all the time.

Exterior protection and interior protection is a load of expensive crap that dealers love to push to boost their already tight margins on new cars.
Exterior protection = careful washing, prompt attention to bird droppings and your favourite wax once or twice a year.
Interior protection = your favourite leather care product for seats and some form of UV protection product for dash and non leather trim.
The protective tape sounds a good idea, particularly if you will be doing a lot of motorway miles where stone chips are a problem. However i would cut out the middle man and not use the dealer.

I wouldn't do just the 3m nose bra. Do the whole front....i say this because i just took mine off of my car and it is now two colors from sun damage to the exposed parts. There is a faint line across the front of the car. So if you are thinking of doing it, do the whole front

Gtaindetail and advanced mobile group go hand in hand.
Kevin can do a new car prep and marco can follow up with
Any size clear bra of your choice.
Had them both do 3 of my cars. Great experience everytime.
One stop shopping.
