Low oil light came on after 3000 miles?

Low oil light came on after 3000 miles?
Is it normal for my low oil light to come on after only 3,000 miles 2012 c63 coupe with p31? I have had the car for only 2 months and drive it daily.

Yeah. Car is going to drink a lot of oil when it's brand new. The more miles you put in it, the less oil it'll consumes.

Well, never buy a CL63 because it's turning me broke. She drinks oil and gas like it's free. I have to add a quarter of oil every week, and I'm averaging $30 gas every day lol

my wife bananas! :D
perfectly normal. Even afterwards, the M156 engine is thirsty compared to most other cars.

Totally normal. Just add a quart and go to sleep easy.

Re oil use, i have a 2012 c63amg coup with pp, have run it in ,1800km through the mountains not exceeding 140kph and 4000 rpm. no oil used at all. for your imfo,

Either 0W-40 or 5W-40. You need to ask your dealer what oil they put in your car first. Most folks here have 0W-40, but when I ask my dealer it was actually 5W-40 in my car, then they were nice enough to top my oil off free of charge .
